worlds going to planet fitness

i train at a worlds gym gonna be interesting to see if and when it turns into a planet fitness, i plan to set off the lunk alarm every god damn day until i am officially banned from the property. they may even need to place a restraining order out on me. i just paid my dues up for another year, if this happens shit is gonna hit the fan. i am respectful when i am in the gym, i train hard, mind my business, rack all my weights, i dont own a tank top, or a headband and i dont train in boots, i dont drop weights or dumbells, i only make any noise when completely necessary ie. heavy squats. yet i will still not be allowed to train in this facility because i will be deemed intimidating eventually by another member or management??? and i wont be able squat if i wanted to as there will be no power rack.

example of planet fitness rules.......

no deadlifting
no grunting
no heavyweights (apparently they will be taking out the squat rack, the 100lb plates and all the dumbells over 80's) as these things i guess are to intimidating.
no tanktops
no boots
no headbands

All the Planet Fitness' are taking out squat racks. A few people at my job just told me today they went to the Planet Fitness they belong to yesterday and they were gone.

I just went to a worlds In Fayetville Arkansas last week when I was down there. Remodeling But it was a Nice place.

Why would they switch Over to Planet fitness? Are they selling out?
So no more Worlds GYms at all?

no.. thedeal is that planet fitness bought the world gym franchise.. it does not effect world gyms in place unless they want to make the switch.. theyu are just going to dump alot of money into marketing the world gym name but, nothing will change in regards to the gyms.. at least not now..

from what i learned they have to switch eventually and if they do it now it will be very cheap for them to do so, if they wait it will be more expensive down the road. i am hoping they may change to a golds or a powerhouse but that is highly doubtful

I would think some of this comes down to the individual owners. I was just talking to a guy yesterday who was a powerlifter that was telling me about all the gyms they've been kicked out of. One was a world gym when his buddy was doing deads with 500lbs and on his last pull, looked the owner in the eyes and cracked a big smile and dropped the weight. They both got kicked out on the spot. lol.

Worlds here later closed shop. I was in a gym a couple of days ago and these little punk ass kids were doing bent over rows with like 185lbs or some puny shit and they kept dropping the weight EVERY time they finished a set. Annoyed the shit out of me, b/c they walked around with all this attitude afterwards. I just had to laugh. I've never done shit like that. I had to wait on these assholes b/c they tied up the squat rack I was going to use.

A new gym is coming to my town. A local billionare is building the largest Gold's ever built. Well over 50,000 sq. ft. I'm told. Evidently, Golds is pushing to open up new franchises throughout Texas.

P.fitness made the local news in my area... They had to call the cops on this guy...because he grunted...I guess he was squating and made a noise...So I guess the Guy called News ch 9 and told them the story... pretty funny..because the owner of the PF in that area was a BIG budybuilder in the 80's like National level and now is anti-bodybuilder...It's all about $$$$... snopy people and Personal training....

Unfortunately, your GRUNTING on squats will get you banned from the gym. I posted an article about this a little while back - http://www.professionalmuscle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20163

And what you're describing - making a little noise while squatting - is what this guy did and he was banned. So good luck.. lol.. I'd just keep an eye out for an alternate gym in your area and as soon as the contract is up (or sooner) GET THE FUCK OUTTA THERE!!
