In the last year or so I've eaten ultra clean with usually one cheal meal per week, occasionally 2.
I then prepped for my first show for 8 weeks which was 2 weeks ago. Since then I've binged on crap with a lot of it coming from sugary crap!
I was toying with the idea of adding some insulin in for my rebound so thought I would take my BGL reading. The first time it read I think it converted to 126 mg/dl (it measures in mmol/l) I then didn't test it again for a week or so. Next time which was 2 days ago it read 8 mmol/l (145 mg/dl) the next day it fell within range, just.. At 6.9 mmol/l (124 mg/dl) then I ate quite a lot of crap yesterday and this morning it was 12.2 mmol/l!! (220 mg/dl) so I don't know for its a faulty meter (I hope so) or if it is fluctuation that much. These are fasted readings btw.
Can anyone shed some light on how bad this situation is and how best to rectify it?
