Since going back to school I have noticed something, I have neglected it. I always felt like I kind of fell off alittle since I haven't been in school or doing enough to challenge me mentally. This to me truely proves that like anyother muscle it (brain) needs to be trained. Just a few weeks back into it I feel just as bright, quick, aand responseful as I did 5 years ago. It doesn't seem like much, and many might even say no I'm fine, but you really need to do something to stimulate your mind and help it to progress. It can be reading a book, doing some sort of puzzle, just anything that causes some prolonged stimuli to the brain. Many may just blow this post off but I think it's alot more important than most think it is.

i agree with strengthening the mind , thats why iam always challenging myself with politics , reading TIME magazine has helped me somewhat strengthen my mind , i also try and learn as much about certain things iam becomming interested in even cooking hahahaha.

i also belive that for the most part....the more involved u are with the world around u, actually helps u in the quest for ur body

No doubt about it, if you don't use it, you lose it. Crossword puzzles and word scrambles have actually been shown to prevent alzhiemers. The brain must be kept active like any thing else in the body if you wan't it to keep working.

That iz tha rezin that I am reel smort.

Dead on, you must continually challenge yourself, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Pick up Stephen Hawking's new book and see what that does to the mind.

Memory games...

I actually like those books about improving memory, things like mnemonics and peg lists, I feel better knowing that I am keeping the "mental muscle" flexing just as much as the rest of me. It could be just the thing to keep us from experiencing mental mishaps in the future!
