Really long story short. Had a PSA score of 21, did antibiotics, went down to 10. I had a 19 core transperineal prostate biopsy, all cores negative. Before the biopsy, I was given a shot of Rocephin. 12 weeks later my PSA was 4. 12 weeks after that a 2.5. My MD attributed it to prostatitis. I think the shot of Rocephin did something positive. BPH and prostatitis symptoms can mirror each other. I now take 4mgs of Cardura daily and 90% of my prostate issues are gone. PSA stays between 2.5 and 3. Caffeine, chili, any kind of decongestant, and too much self-pleasure/sex inflames my prostate (I am aware that some professionals actually think the more you do the better), not for me. Cialis and Viagra both help my BPH symptoms too. For me, high DHT levels beat the crap out of my prostate too, which I think in part was a main cause of the 21 score. I kept this short...LOL...but this is rarely ONE thing. It is multicausal for many.
