I feel that circa 1990 is part if the modern era, same as we live today. Why? Because by the early 90s the same drugs we use were used and nothing much revolutionary has come around since. Nothing has really changed since then. No new knowledge, no new diet, no new training and no new drugs. I saw the argument that the fantastic "Ironman lighting" gives us a slightly distorted view of their actual conditioning. Dramatic lighting along with grainy VHS footage. Guys are leaner on average despite what many/most think. Yes there may be more bloat today, but the fat is lower.

Now if you go to say the late 80s, they were "nothing" compared to guys today. Why? Very simple: growth hormone and insulin. Nothing else. "All drugs" as they say.

I naively bought the cybergenics 90 day kit with the video that had the most insanely high volume of memory serves. I thought francos fat to awesome transformation was all contained in that box.

Man whats funny is I talk to some younger kids about this supplement or that drug they someone on tiktok is pushing and think wtf are you stupid. Then i remember cybergenics and I would have probably killed for one of those kits. So i was a naive dipshit once as well. I remember buying some aminos at 15 thinking this shit is going to get me huge.

Maybe it’s just me, but guys with this sort of muscle at such a young age seem rare now? Being a younger guy myself with a pretty solid physique, I’m the only one in my area that actively bodybuilds, and looks like it below the age of 30.

Paul Demayo, Franco S., Dennis Newman, Jay cutler, Flex wheeler, Levrone, Gaspari, Lee haney, Mike Matarazzo, shawn ray, Craig titus- I’m sure I’m forgetting plenty more but off the top of my head. All these guys had world class physiques in their early to mid 20’s. I feel like we don’t see that anymore, what gives? Maybe it’s just me being delusional, lol
