A question regarding how to do HGH injections

Yesterday was my first day giving myself a sub q HGH injection. I did it in the lower right side of my stomach. When I gave myself the injection, I bled a tiny tiny bit. Is this normal? The nurse said it is but I figured I would ask you guys as well.

Really? So have i been doing my intramuscular injections wrong for years?? I rarely bleed.

mine rarely bleed when i do sub q on my stomach. once in a while i get a tiny drop of blood but it shouldn't be bleeding. what size pin are u using? for gh you can get away with a 29 gauge which is tiny

It is only a small drop of blood I'm experiencing.

As for the pin size, it says on the label 0.25 mm x 8 mm than underneath that it says 31G x 5/16". Do I have the right size pin?

yes 31 gauge 5/16 is fine, but next time u get pins i would recommend getting a little bit longer, around 1/2 inch.

You need to find the right spots to pin with sub q. Whenever I pull out the pin and it bleeds, I tend to have bruising there in a few days. Have never had any issues above the hips at the belt line.

Yes. i use slin pins for GH and slin.

Why is that?

5/16 is just a bit short, half inch is better so u get right into the middle of your fat layer

Good news. For the last two nights I have not seen any blood at all when injecting myself.
