after seeing this fight im gonna say that jose aldo may be a better pound for pound fighter than anderson silva.

i really cant think of a reason why faber would stand in one spot and be a kicking bag for aldo..if faber moved forward aldo had nothing instead he let aldo back him up to the fence and unload those nasty kicks...i think the lack of coaching for fabers camp shows in some of their fights...talented and strong group but they need some guidance

What was absolutely scary about Aldo is the fact that he ONLY countered the whole fight. I don't believe Faber landed one punch the entire fight. Even if Aldo had let Faber take him down, he would't ve had to deal with Aldo's world class guard.

I was extremely let down by Donald Cerrone. He's one of my favorite fighters, and he lets that shit happen.

man in cerrone's defense, henderson has one hell of a choke, he is very strong and puts everything he has into that squeeze, you put that with the fact that he knows also how to get postition to get way better leverage on that choke and you got a deadly combo that is hard for anyone to get out of and or breath while in. people are so concerned with getting to their feet after being taken down so much that they will loose site of their head position while getting up and for someone as quick as henderson its a blessing of a chance to get a strong/lethal choke applied.

aldo is such a well rounded fighter there was no way faber could take him down last night. i think faber was hoping aldo would walk into shot because he knew that was his only chance at winning. his defense was impeccable

Very true bboy. Henderson is a very talented, seasoned jiu jitsu practitioner. I'm just surprised that cerrone made the mistake considering his training camp. Kudos to Bendo tho, he finished Cerrone, which had never been done before!
It seems Donald is cursed in the big fights.

the whole card was awesome, I do not think the zuffa brass could have wished for a better card overall then this on for a 1st ppv.... even though the aldo-faber fight was one sided it was definetly not a boring fight...I bet uriah can't hardly walk today...he showed crazy heart though....

he is on another level. i would not be surprised at all to see him move up to 155. wec is owned by the same owners as ufc so he could make the transition without having to worry about a contract getting in the way. edgar is a small 55 pounder so it would be interesting to see the two fight. i would give the edge to aldo.
