Keto vs high carb

a KETO DIET, by all means is a high fat diet. That is 100 percent what a keto diet is.

Psmf is not a ketone producing diet. You feel great running on ketones. Psmf you feel terrible. Hungry as fuck. Many can’t do it for long periods of time cause your not giving the body fat to convert to ketones. You are simply burning body fat as fuel. Which is any diet that burns body fat, so by your term. Makes any diet a keto diet

The one and ONLY requirement for keto is low carb. You will probably less ketones in a blood or traces with higher proteins and low fat but it IS still ketogenic diet. Stop mixing up epilepsy keto with bodybuilding keto. Higher protein moderate fat is best for us cause it does not mess up insulin sensitivity. You also does not need to eat below 30 carbs. If you have more muscles then regular joe your carb levels can be slightly higher.

The amount is very small, which is why you feel like shit on Psmf compared to keto diets

A keto diet to me(and at least in medicine) refers to your metabolic state not what you eat.

I get much deeper ketosis on a psmf(and feel great) then a high fat moderate protein diet, many have discovered this with blood testing throughout the day, NY muscle put me on to this on this forum years ago.

I am also doing his way of keto - moderate fat -around 100 gram high protein -300 , never hungry feel great.
 
Do you check your ketone levels with the urine strips?
Urine strips are useless, you want to check your blood ketones with a blood ketone monitor (works just like a glucose one)

Gotcha, I’d thought I’d seen you mention that before. I got some for shits and giggles. I’ve have damn near zero carbs since Saturday night and as of this morning showing no ketones. Even dropped protein and increased fat just kind of experimenting.

I dont chase ketons at all - i think this is the biggest mistake of everyone who is new to keto diet. All I want to be is fat adapted. I dont have epilepsy so I dont need to have high amount of ketones in my blood. Just by feel I know i am in fat adapted state. How? Simple answer; if by day 3 i eat zero carbs (except from veggies and berries ) and I feel great then I know i am in ketosis.

Dont raise your fats - if you feel good dont try to fix what is not broken- it will
only mess your insulin sensitivity from three reasons.
1 High protein increase sensitivity- you are lowering it
2 lot of fat decrease it- you are doing it
3 high calories - decrease it- again you are doing it.

That was just for yesterday and it wasn’t by extreme amounts. Gonna throw the piss strips in the trash lol.
