Ok, I've just decided not to use the sauna or steam room anymore. It went down like this, same shit, different gym today. I go to another Gold's Gym near my house. I train, and hit 40 min of cardio. Then I decide to try the sauna and hopefully not have another episode like the one the other day. I'm in the locker room and ask some dude if he knows if the gym has one, since I had never been there b4. "Yes, actually they do, and i'm about to go in there myself" Ok, no harm I thought. So into the sauna we go. Well, I left after like 2 or 3 minu because it wasn't hot enough to do shit, I could have layed in there an hour. He immediately follows me out of the gym. As I'm walking to my car he says "Hey, do you ever do Yoga?" I told him no. He then say's "You should sometime, a big guy like you needs to stretch all those big muscles" Then he asks me if I ever want to go running with him. I told him no thanks, I jog with my wife. He was a nice guy, and no harm no foul. I didnt get pissed at him, I didnt tell him to go fuck himself, just went on about my business. Hopefully my piece of shit $400 Nissan beater he saw me getting into was enough to turn him off if the wife comment wasn't enough. so I then drive to the other gym about 10-15 min. up the road and try they're sauna.(I use it because of my joint issues) Well I'm in there,and I keep hearing these moans and grunts coming out of the shower area. I can hear it through the fucking sauna door!! It's one of these guy's who I guess feels like manly man in the shower and has to moan and grunt as if lathering his body with soap is a god damn triathelon. So I'm laying there and about 15-20 min goes by and this dude is still moaning and carrying on. hahaha, I finally opened the door to the sauna and yelled over to him " Are you ok in there, you sound like your having a fuckin heart attack!!" Who me? Yeah you, I can hear ya through the sauna walls moaning over there, you sure your aright. hahahahhaa. I think I'm going to Sams Club to buy a home sauna. Bunch of fucking wierdo's!!

good lord man you have bad luck with saunas. now i have a slight complex bout using one lol. the gym i go to has one i just never use it. typicaly a lack of time.

Yeah i'm definitely not going into the sauna now. Not that i had any desire to go into it before, but not its definitely not happening now.

Sounds like you have bad sauna luck man. Maybe get in when no body is in there and block the door lol

No kidding, this seems to be a reoccurring thing. And there is nothing about me that I would think would lead these guys on other than they must think if you hang in the sauna or steam room your batting for their team. Maybe I should leave a note in there when it's empty. Maybe tell them the neo nazi's just joined the gym and they dont appreciate what some of their fellow brothers are going through in the sauna, fair warning. Simple, yet effective

LMAO... Don't worry, it happens... Back in my younger years I was training at World's in Houston, TX. Decent workout, I'm feeling the pump and kinda good about the way I'm progressing and I go to take a shower and get out of the gym.

While I'm rinsing off I get this feeling that I'm being watched. Out of the corner of my eye, I catch this guy looking at me - a big MOFO. I continue to shower thinking that maybe he is just sizing me up - maybe I'm progressing more than I think? I just ignore it and continue doing my thing.

No, he was sizing me up alright - but not the way I was thinking. After the shower I'm getting dressed and this guy comes up to me and invites me out! I'm a little taken aback but I politely say no thanks and let him know I'm not interested nor do I practice that kind of lifestyle.

The guy was cool, apologized and we never talked again. To this day I sometimes wonder why he just assumed I was like that

I recall once out at the National Training Center (NTC) during a rotation prior to deploying to Iraq there were these showers that had what I guess would best be described as mini-bleachers in them, and no shit there were always a few dudes who just sat there. They were sitting when I entered, and still sitting there when I left, apparently enjoying the show, it was actually kind of unsettling, oh well, don't ask don't tell.
