First let me start by saying I used to drink heavily (had some incidents) and went years without a drink. Started drinking socially again and this weekend had another issue.
I had a party at my place, got drunk, and my girlfriend came over with her best friend and her boyfriend who beat the shit out of her a few weeks ago. So I already didnt like the guy. First time meeting him tho. Everything is going great until he makes a comment about my girl, I tell her and she instantly defends him so I call him on it. The rest of the night I cant remember. But what Im told is he started arguing with me and I kicked him out. He was still saying shit so I beat him around outside while people were trying to stop me. I woke up with no marks whatsoever and not remembering anything (This is what used to happen in the past- woke up and people saying I got into fights).
Shes refused to talk to me since it happened saying I physically hurt her friends, yet I dont know to what extent. There was blood outside but not mine so I have no clue.
Ive already decided, I cant be drinking again. So thats out the door. I texted her that we really need to talk so she is wanting to meet in a few minutes. I feel that her actions when shes drunk and her friends making comments (not the first time and last time we had an arguement-she was staying with me, sided with her friends and I told her to pack her things and leave- next day of course we made up).
We only have issues when alcohol is involved, every other time, things are great. And I'm stopping so I know I'll always be in control of my actions. I doubt she stop but Im planning on suggesting it. Not sure how to handle this since this was her first time seeing me like this and I dont want to lose her but also cant be playing games if shes siding with her friends.
We've both relocated (me a couple months ago, her this past week) to a new city together since we lived 5 hours apart but as soon as she said she was moving several of her friends moved also nearby. Any advice is appreciated.... Meeting up in a few minutes to talk about things so I'll update when I know more.
