Supposedly it was being used by "Carders" to perpetuate fraudulent credit card number trading. Not 100% but thats whats been said. The best thing to do is just stay away from anon speech. Once a anonymous site goes down who knows what they have done to their system when (if) it ever comes back online. Best thing to use is PGP and tor if you want to limit your online exposure. I'd like to see some of the sponsors here have PGP keys.

Anon was not set up by anyone. Server is in Japan. You really think Japan is gonna work with us? Feds are not smart enough to pull something like that off. It was the most secure email system available. It will be back.

They are back up. Saying they moved their servers to Malaysia. If thats the case why didn't they tell everyone. I'm not a hysteria instigator but why just shut down without telling anyone. The least they could have done is told everyone their might be some technical interruptions while they move the servers. Either way what happened was bad for business on their part.
