Cops say copycat drugs were made at Roswell home

Federal agents and local police raided a Roswell home Tuesday afternoon, looking for human growth hormone and other drugs, authorities said.

The drug-making operation — selling HGH, testosterone, and copy-cat versions of Cialis online and through mail-order — netted an estimated $25,000 to $30,000 a day, said Roswell police Lt. James McGee.

"We got a tip about three or four months ago," McGee said. "We found it was more far-reaching than we initially thought."

Agents from the investigative wing of the Food and Drug Administration joined Roswell S.W.A.T. officers late Tuesday afternoon to go into the house.

A Roswell couple is being held for questioning, McGee said, and charges are likely to come from the FDA.

Agents and police were still searching the house at 6:30 p.m. as part of the investigation, McGee said.

25 - 30k a MONTH I would believe (maybe even per week if it was a very large operation).....but PER DAY?? No fuckin way....not a chance.

The police are almost CERTAINLY exaggerating the amount so that the couple will get higher sentences if/when convicted. Police do it all the time.

They make estimates based on what the most expensive break down would be. So it would be per bottle at the most expensive price. If there was growth it would be priced at like $10+iu for as many iu's as they have. Doesn't matter if it's cheap chinese stuff that sells for $2iu.

in court the prosecutors will try and track all his previous profits(moneygram,WU,etc etc. hopefully alot of his transfers were sent through mail) and calculate from that how much money was really gathered through evidence

On the news last night they showed them unloading the house. Their was a U-Haul trucks worth of boxes taken out of the house. If gear is in any of those boxes, much less all, it is a lot.

BTW, I think the "value" they put on the gear is 5 to 1 or 10 to 1, the values we would put on them, placing the operation at a reasonable rate.
