I've been kinda keeping this one inside of me. The day after Christmas, my Dad called and said he was going in for final test on Tuesday (that's past) for a heart bypass surgery. They ended up keeping him at the hospital and performed a double bypass on early Wednesday morning - before 6:00 AM.

He's like 78 years old and I thought relatively active - takes long walks every morning, several miles. It looks like he's pulling through just fine.

Nobody on his side of the family (or on my Mother's side) has heart problems. We were talking about his older brother who's housed in a facility with bad dimensia has good health - heart recentl checked out fine.

I think I've pshyced myself into some sympathy pains from this episode. I don't know if any of you get these involuntary muscle twitches. I generally get them on my eyelids or delts or sometimes arms. The day after he told me this, I got twitches on my pec over my heart - had me freaked out.

Just a wakeup call that we are not invincible.

Scary Stuff bro, I'm glad that everything for your father turns out ok. I know what you mean about psyching yourself up, my father suffers from a very rare cancer, in his eye. I am constantly scared by every vision disturbance I get. But it is scary stuff when it happens to someone so close to you. I wish the best to you and your dad, and hope everything stays ok.

Hang in their Xcell sometimes its hard when someone close to us is sick. We often would rather feel their pain then have them go through it. Sometimes I get the same feelings for my grandmother who lives far away from me. Technology now days is incredible. Say your prayers and keep your spirits up. MM

sorry to hear bro, if u need my help, just ask

i,ll pray for your dads speedy recovery. if i donot get enough rest i get eye twitches and the day after a very hard legg workout i get muscle spasms in my quads. in shorts you can watch my quad
tighten and relaxx.

EXCEL....MY DAD HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN...

HE IS REALLY ACTIVE....5'6 160LBS MOST OF HIS LIFE, COP, RODE HIS BIKE OR WALKED EVERYDAY...LIFTED WEIGHTS 3-4 DAYS A WEEK......NON DRINKER, NON SMOKER........STILL A TRIPLE BYPASS AT AGE 63. HE JUST ATE THE AVERAGE AMERICAN DIET. I HAVE THE SAME FEARS.........

Sorry to hear about your dad bro. I hope he has a speedy recovery

excel

I get those twitches in the corner of my eyes and the corner of my mouth also at times.
I know it is stress related for me.
As long as you have good medical coverage, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't take Phil's advice and get some blood work done for any preventive measures you can take now.
Good luck with your fathers recovery.

I'm a twitchy mofo too X, and I agree with Phil - now send me a pump PH!
