I've been kinda keeping this one inside of me. The day after Christmas, my Dad called and said he was going in for final test on Tuesday (that's past) for a heart bypass surgery. They ended up keeping him at the hospital and performed a double bypass on early Wednesday morning - before 6:00 AM.
He's like 78 years old and I thought relatively active - takes long walks every morning, several miles. It looks like he's pulling through just fine.
Nobody on his side of the family (or on my Mother's side) has heart problems. We were talking about his older brother who's housed in a facility with bad dimensia has good health - heart recentl checked out fine.
I think I've pshyced myself into some sympathy pains from this episode. I don't know if any of you get these involuntary muscle twitches. I generally get them on my eyelids or delts or sometimes arms. The day after he told me this, I got twitches on my pec over my heart - had me freaked out.
Just a wakeup call that we are not invincible.
