Anyone get their wife pregnant after shes 30?

This has been on my mind lately. My wife and I both have older children from previous relationships. We now want to have children with each other. I have been hearing and reading a lot that the woman loses 90% of her eggs by age 30. I got her pregnant last year, but she was hit by a drunk driver and we lost the baby when she was 12 weeks. We wanted to wait until after the summer so she doesnt have to sweat and be pregnant..lol I just feel like time may be running out and with the economy the way it is, it stresses me out. Anyone else feel like this or have had previous experience with mid 30 pregnancy? Should I be worried? Thanks

When I was 18 I got a 39-year-old pregnant, but I attribute that to my super-sperm. Our baby probably would have looked like Arnold if it was born.

We had all our children(4) in our thirties. No health problems for any of them. You get more attention from the Dr. & more sonograms, good stuff.

The only issues I have seen with others is when they have children closer to and into their 40s. The most common I have seen is that the child needs hearing aids though there may be more issues that I am unaware of.

i say go for it. creating life can be beautiful thing if done right. me and the GF have tossed the idea around, you know just talking about it. she's 35 now and i told her time is running out, by 40 i have heard it's almost dangerous to be pregnant, but I'm sure that's just blown out of proportion.

the lady across the street is 50 yrs old and has 1 daughter in college and 2 that have graduated. She got pregnant at the age of 44 and so now she has a 6 year old girl. So 4 girls.

My wife had our 4th child at age 33. She still talks about having another. I keep telling her no way. It is time to call it quits. She is not a healthy pregnant woman and still all of our children are all beautiful and healthy. Good luck.

Thanks for the responces. I feel a lot better about it now. Im not in a hurry, but it feels like that time. I never thought I would feel this way. Im starting to feel like a grown up. I used to like to crush beer cans on my head and get in fights at the bar, now things are just different. Im even gonna get life insurance. To be continued....

medicine is way more advanced nowadays and should anticipate any issues that may arise. I think some of the acurrences of difficulties and birth defects are hereditary. I have a friend that gave birth 2x in her 30's and unfortunately both children have autism. Again i don't think it had to do with age.

ditto on the fertility drs these days can work miracles! also when i drop my son off at his daycare/school im amazed...i feel like some of these moms could be my mom!!! they are old hags!!!ha so dont worry, its fine
