Anyone ride/race sport bikes and can't find leathers that fit?

Me too.
Based on all the leather suits I tried on, all sportbike riders are tall and thin.
Well, I'm not. Many of you aren't as well. I'm wondering what did you do to find a leather suit to fit, or did you just give up and wear jeans, and an oversized synthetic jacket???

My dimensions were/are:
5'8" 230lbs
30" inseam,
34-36" waist
48" chest
17.5" arms
25-26" quads
17" calves
Yes, not that huge, but there was absolutely no off-the-shelf suit that fit me.

I finally gave up, bit the bullet and ordered a custom suit.
Not long after I discovered my first baby was on her way, so I hung up my gloves. For those who are in the same boat I was, you can have a look at the suit I put up for sale:

I race cars and I have the same problem with the race suits. Due to my shoulder width I have trouble getting in even the largest off the shelf size.

I see this thread is old but I have the same complaint. I have given up trying to locate a suit and have reverted to separates. Most of the tracks will accept the jacket and pants zipping together rather than a full, complete suit....at least at the amateur/enthusiast level.

You are almost exactly my same build but I am 5'10. I am a size US 46 / EURO 56 - For Alpinestars.

My suit is tight on my shoulders but the rest is ok but like you said, you will never find a perfect suit unless you get one custom built for you. And yes, all bike rides are skinny as fuck. You ever see GP rider in person, they are midgets!!!

I found the Dainese Euro 60/US 50 to fit nicely in the shoulders and chest. The mid is large but that's expected. The pants from Dainese on the other hand...have to go up to at least a Euro 56 to fit my thighs. Sucks

Have you thought about leatherworkers that do costumes for Renaissance fairs or guys that craft things for costumes?

I was going to order a custom leather suit through PILOT, but learned Dainese tailors were in town to make custom measured suits…ended up with a Laguna Seca suit that made for my body…the additional price was marginal. Now that were are moved and settled in TX…I need to start my bike maint and get her set up for the upcoming track season.

i'm 5'7" and 245. If you want off the rack, I found that 2 piece Joe Rocket is the only thing that fit me. Other than that, you will have to order custom as you did!

on facbook there's a group called Alternative Leather Workers. not a shop, just a collection of artists sharing their work.

they make EVERYTHING.

HELL YEAH...in Wa Track season is here. We are having the best weather but I had to make a trip down to Laguna in April for an early track day.

My buddy just ordered the PILOT and really likes them a lot.
