Are there any protein bars that don't contain soy BESIDES the Zero Impact bars?

I'm looking for a protein bar that doesn't contain soy. I've tried the Zero Impact bars but they're too dry and flavorless. I realize we're eating for nutrients and not taste but those things are hard to wash down.

Anyone know if there are any protein bars that don't contain soy BESIDES the Zero Impact bars?

What reason are you avoiding soy for?

I'm by no means an expert on this but the amount that soy influences/raises estrogen levels should not be enough to have an effect on you, especially in the presence of test and an AI.

Exactly, and it presents a different amino acid profile etc. Nothing wrong with a little soy.

Protein bars = GARBAGE

I have to agree with that statement. I would love to find a good quality protein bar. Mostly for convenience. But I've yet to find one that doesn't give me gas.

zero impact has a coconut bar now that is moist and tastes damn good

Protein bars may be complete shit, but all I gotta say is, the Pumpkin Supreme or whatever they're called Zero Impact bars are really good! If you haven't tried one yet, you've got to indulge!

Why may I ask do so many feel BARS = SHIT? I would agree they should not be first choice but for those who travel or work on the road they are much better then fast food every meal and to be honest some of us can not carry around powder all day. I for one love the ZERO IMPACT bars as they are more of a meal bar the protien bar....Well rounded bar, good fats, etc....dense enough to make you feel full but no bloat.

Soy promotes Estrogen and my Estrogen is already very high (and yes I'm taking anti estrogens and lowered my test dosage).

I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me. No offense but you're pretty OCD about a lot of stuff. :)

I'm using a soy powder I got for free and I feel better for some reason, and I think it's the soy. Feel strong and I tolerate it well, no digestion issues etc.

Clinical studies show no effects of soy protein or isoflavones on reproductive hormones in men: results of a meta-analysis.
Hamilton-Reeves JM, Vazquez G, Duval SJ, Phipps WR, Kurzer MS, Messina MJ.

Department of Family, Consumer, and Nutrition Science, St. Catherine University, and Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota.

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether isoflavones exert estrogen-like effects in men by lowering bioavailable T through evaluation of the effects of soy protein or isoflavone intake on T, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), free T, and free androgen index (FAI) in men. DESIGN: PubMed and CAB Abstracts databases were searched through July 1, 2008, with use of controlled vocabulary specific to the databases, such as soy, isoflavones, genistein, phytoestrogens, red clover, androgen, testosterone, and SHBG. Peer-reviewed studies published in English were selected if [1] adult men consumed soy foods, isolated soy protein, or isoflavone extracts (from soy or red clover) and [2] circulating T, SHBG, free T, or calculated FAI was assessed. Data were extracted by two independent reviewers. Isoflavone exposure was abstracted directly from studies. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S): Fifteen placebo-controlled treatment groups with baseline and ending measures were analyzed. In addition, 32 reports involving 36 treatment groups were assessed in simpler models to ascertain the results. RESULT(S): No significant effects of soy protein or isoflavone intake on T, SHBG, free T, or FAI were detected regardless of statistical model. CONCLUSION(S): The results of this meta-analysis suggest that neither soy foods nor isoflavone supplements alter measures of bioavailable T concentrations in men.

Because they are, if you talking about taste or convenience then you have a point, but as far as for being a good source of protein...they're GARBAGE - 100% garbage.

Im looking at a zero impact right now and under the allergy warning it says contains "soy"

Clay your point is "because they are" wow....lol.....thats funny. Zero impacts protein is most likely the better of all bars...whey isolate, Concentrate (yes this sucks) Milk protein and not to mention Casein....so not bad if you ask me. Are there better sources YES but you not argue that this is not a decent bar....Please dont give me the "because they are" arguement..
