Ok so I have been getting alot of PM, asking what Magnum is like, and how his diets are and work...Like I have said, before so everyone knows, Magnum is retried and isnt taking on any new clients anymore...We have talked in the past, and with a show like this (nationals) I really wanted his guidance for this show...So like Magnum said in a different post, I was grandfathered in...OK so that is said now, here is the diet...I will post a training program later tonight as he is making a new one for me...Remember he is setting this program up to work for me, will this work for you..To some degree, yes but you have to remember everyone is different...

Here is the diet

Meal 1
6 whole eggs (large)

Meal 2
6oz. 93% Lean Beef
1scp. 100% Whey protein
2 tbsp Natural penut butter

Meal 3
8oz. Ground Turkey (ground not breast)
Salad 1/2 head lettuce/ 2 tbsp olive oil

Meal 4
SAME AS MEAL 2

Meal 5
8oz. Sirlon Steak or 93% lean ground beef

Meal 6
SAME AS MEAL 1

As far as supplements, I just use 100% Whey, and a good multi vitamin and mineral pack per day...Some extra Vitamin C and E...Thats about it for now...

Later, tonight I will post the training program that Magnum wrote out for me....

I'll let magnum answer most of these questions... becasue I dont know the answers to them yet...LOL !!! I do know that he is going to let me have a cheat meal this weekend...Then he said it would go to cheat days after that...

keto diets are great for burning fat.
Good to have THE carb up meal to stop over depletion too.

What's the timing of your meals look like?

Magnum is old school! I am a fan of Vince Gironda and the old school way of eating also. If it worked then, why not now?

Are there any supplemental omega 3s or omega 6s in this diet?

Any supplemental fiber?
 
Hi Chris Thanks for sharing the diet and Magnum allowing you to do so. It will be interesting to see your progress/ changes and get yours/Magnums feedback on how you look and feel during your 16 week prep.
P.S the Canadian National body building championships are here in Vancouver where I live In a few weeks I am excited as ther are are a lot of great competitors.
I think if you come in shredded you will have a great shot at the top 5 at your nationals!

I havnte started any fibers in this diet yet..but im normally ok on low carb/fiber diets..Unless magnum says I need to take that, then I'll start it, but for now I think he said it was up to me...

How do you know you are ok on low fiber diets? Are you going just by BMs?

good point. a good intake of fiber can prevent many disease down the road. low fiber diet is not a good idea unless there is a medical reason for it
 
In general I think eat fiber is over rated. If your diet is high enough in fat you will not be constipated. Now, when a person is trying to get shredded and the fat content comes down then adding fiber can help remedy the situation for till the contest diet is over. I also think that all the health benefits are also overrated kinda like the cholesterol scam, but not as blown out of proportion.
