I was taken off my bp meds(Lisinopril/HCTZ) about a year ago because I dropped about 20 pounds(more health conscious, not using high doses anymore). My bp has consistently been high 130’s over mid to high 80’s since stopping bp meds.I was searching threads on Telmisartan,I figure I would just order from Pharmacy in India, and I came across a post by Dante recommending Natures Way Beet Root.I ordered a bottle from Amazon,it was about $8.00 (free shipping Prime) and have been using about 10 days now.I bought a home bp monitor and my bp has consistently been low 120’s over low 70’s.I take the recommended dose of 2 caps 3 times/day. This product works and works well !

Beet root is a great supplement. I actually drink beet juice at night as it seems to make me sleepy.

Yeah man. Beet juice works very well. It will make you sleepy for sure. The beet juice has to mix with saliva to produce what lowers your blood pressure from what I understand. So I'll mix sugary sweet items like apples in the juicer as well. If I toss a chunk of beet into the blender with a smoothie it works very well too.

It will also give you a good pump in the gym and is good blood flow during sex similar to viagra.

I don’t believe it needs to mix with saliva as I have been using capsules and my bp been lowered substantially. It is vey cheap and if anyone here is having high bp then this a no brainer, you don’t need a prescription. Now that I have my home bp monitor I check my bp around 4-5 times/day and keep seeing the same numbers as when I used to be on the Lisinopril with HCTZ.

Just ordered some capsules. How many do You recommend a day? I want to drop carditone it's too expensive I would like a safer alternative. 1 carditone keeps my BP around 125-135/70-80 on heavy deca npp trestelone blast.

I don't use it for BP management while on a blast but I do like to take it about 1.5 hours after I take yohimbine pre cardio (when leaning out) to take the edge of the BP spike I get as I increase the yohimbine HCL dosage.

Hi rmtt... I also drink beet juice. I get a bottle of 100% beet juice from my grocery store every week. How much do you drink? Do you drink it straight or mix it with another drink? I put around 3 oz of beet juice with my diet mountain dew. Thank you in advance.
Take care.

Hi MS.

We actually grow our own and usually juice 2 of them a night. I've mentioned on here before that my wife is vegan. Every night my last drink/meal is a smoothie mixed with the beets, spinach, kale, chard, carrots, and a cup of antioxidant blend of berries that we get from the supermarket. Sometimes we will add a banana..or even a little Greek yougurt.

We then add 2 scoops of CytoGreens powder, and a few tablespoons of organic chia seeds.

Blend it all and it makes two large glasses.

I will admit it took me awhile to get used to it, but it was partly an effort to show support for my wife and that I was willing to try things like this that she is into.

But after doing this for so long....I feel so much better with everything from sleep to energy levels.

I've heard beets were great for helping cleanse the liver and body in general....and I figure it can't hurt. Plus it keeps my digestive track running smoothly and regular.

That alone prepares me for the next day off eating as I'm trying to slowly gain weight.

Beets help your body make nitric oxide which allows blood to flow into tissue easier, which could lower blood pressure. Viagra etc. Work along the same principle. I use powdered beet root. I actually like the flavor when it's mixed with my chocolate protein powder.

It took me awhile to get past the taste of whole beets.

Its weird how the body is with its palate. I can eat a raw turnip like an Apple....and people look at me like I'm crazy!

Hey Stewie,I am interested in this product.I entered my zip code on their website and it turns out my local Shop Rite carries it .Would this be in the refrigerated section or the health foods area.I can ask at customer service when I go but they usually aren’t too helpful, thanks

So I tried a little experiment.I took 2 full days off from taking the beet root powder. My bp this morning was an average of 137/86(I checked it 3 times). So all week long prior to this when takeing the beet root powder my average bp has been 124/74.The beet root without a doubt lowered my bp. I am also trying something new that I bought at Bj’s today,Power Beets. It is a powder that you mix into water as opposed to the capsules I have been taking. It contains about 4.3 grams of beet root powder per serving(5.5 grams).Since I was having such great results taking the capsules 3 times per day I will divide my dose of this so I will take half scoop in the morning and half in the evening .I drank my first dose and it tastes great ,it’s pomegrante açaí berry flavored.I will report back tomorrow and see if my bp has been lowered like it was with the capsules that I was taking
