bicep injury

yesterday i was doing partials at the end of my rest pause set on the assisted pull up machine, when i felt a pop inside the muscle belly of my bicep. it felt like a zap, and i had to stop immediatley.

however afterwards there was no pain, and no loss in ROM. I quit my workout packed my bags and went home to ice it, so i did not test it out and still havent for fear of making this injury worse.

there is no bruising, and no real pain when i massage in the muscle, atleast nothing that i can not notice more than in the other bicep. today it is a little bit sore when i massage it, moreso than the other bicep. im not sure if this is just regular soreness from working that muscle though b/c i dont usually massage them.

any ideas how bad this might be? i dont wanna test it out until i need to, trying to just ice and rest it for the next day. the tendon is fine, but im worried about something that might have torn in the muscle belly. i just finished a cycle where i ended with prop and did inject prop into the bi's, but that was over 2 weeks ago and all the oil should be gone.

god i hate injuries, it seems just when one heals you get another.
 
Is there any shape difference to the muscle? Was the "pop" kind of like a tear or just like a crack like cracking ur knuckles? It could be partial tear of tendon ..... The zap?? .....was it a stinging pain?? I would get it looked at..... But if belly of bicep is mis-shaped and the belly is up towards ur shoulder more it is a tendon tear off bicep.... Can be re-attached but u have to do it right away.... This is common in deads...... A guy other night on here did it I think.... Check the threads and see...... Good luck keep us posted!!
 
it sounds like nothing

i get all kinds of zaps and pops lately (getting old):p

but nothing ever comes of it

go easy next bi or back day first few sets
then go from there

i have a feeling its nothing

thanks for the replies. im pretty sure the tendon is fine, it feels like what ever happened happened inside the belly, there is no bruising and it looks fine.

it felt almost like when you get shocked like when you touch something metal when youve been dragging your feet on carpet (or whatever causes that), but it was much more powerful and it definatley got my attention. no pain afterwards though.

im scared to even try and curl a 5lb dumbell.:(
