BIG SCARE-O/T

My wife who is 7 months pregnant got hurt at work last night. I have never been this scared in my life. I have been beaten, sleep deprived, shot at and drowned and this feeling made the others feel weak in comparison. I sat around the ER for hours going between throwing up and eating every piece of crap I could find. Both she and the baby are all right, Thank God. Sorry for bitching. I just need to vent.

You do feel helpless, don't you? I was in a car behind my wife and 3? month old son when their little civic got hit by an old lady in a cadilac pretty good, holy shit was I scared. Also had my son with heart problems in the ER at 17 days old, and some other stuff.

Glad they are ok!

great to hear they both are ok......if this is your first one get ready for the best time of your life bro......priorities all change when you have a new little one and changes everything that you have ever known.....for all you other guys out there that haven't had a child yet, just wait and see what he is talking about...i would die a hundred times over to keep my boy and my wife safe from any pain or suffering......it would be more painful to watch them go through it.....

This will be my second little girl. It is the first time I am going through the pregnancy with my wife though. The first time she was pregnant I was on deployment, so I missed out on all the fun stuff.

I know how it feels.. I would do anything to protect my daughter.. I feel sorry for the first boy that comes to my door.. lol..

Being a sinlge parent.. it'll just be me he has to contend with.. but, i think that might be bad enough!!!

i know what you are saying phil......if i catch my boy disrespecting a girl like that when he gets older there will be some wall-to-wall counseling in his near future......we need to teach our boys to respect women even more so now, because the mainstream shows them it is cool to do the opposite.......

okay.. now phil made me feel like scum.. lol.. the problem is that in this day and age , they are so desensitive to nudity and sex that it is just part of the everyday activity.. i have two little girls..5 and 2.. i hope they are on the straight and narrow and my wife and i both hope we can influence their decisions.. unfortunately, most listen to their friends and mtv than their parents.. being in the gym business, i see young guys and girls all the time.. they tell me stuff that makes me about crap..
true story.. one of the guys (17) comes in one day and says he had a awesome party at his house last weekend and was telling me that all the women were either topless or naked.. i called bullshit.. he swore and i did not belive that they at 17 would do that shit he said.. well, two days later he comes in and throws a envelope on my desk.. it had a video and pictures in it.. i opened it and the pics were of 16 to 18 year old girls at his party.. and everyone of them was topless or naked.. not only that but, some were showing their "goods" if ya know what i mean..i tossed them back at him and said, "do thses girls know that you are showing everyone their photos?" he said " yeah.. they dont care.. they think it is funny".. my employee said,
what is on the tape?" he said " go look for yourself".. now. at this point, i am out of the picture ans want nothing to do with it.. my employee takes it home and the next day is in shock.. the sad thing is some of the girls came down to the gym and when i saw them some time later the asked me if nick showed me the pics.. i denied it to save them any embarrassment.. they laughed and said it "a crazy night and i can not wait for his parents to go out of town again".. they could have cared less if i saw them..
last year, one of the parents that came down to the gym told me about "oral sex partys".. i questioned them ion it and they said that a bunch of boys and girls get together and perform oral on each other and swap partners for the whole night.. the idea is to perform on everyone before the night is through.. i asked him how he knew about this and he said " well, my son told me"... my girls are going to the lock up for the next 15 years....
the point is.. sex and nudity are very common place in this current social climate.. having multiple partners and "f#@$ buddies" as they are called is no big deal,,, it saddens me but, true.. remember one thing.. i know my girls are not going to tell me everything.. and i really do not want to know...just hope they make good decisions and do nothing that they wil regret..

As parents all we can do is hope to instill in our kids the morals, values and self respect that they should have for themselves.. I have seen things first hand myself.. having a younger brother.. and the things he used to tell me..

We just have to do all we can to let them know the difference between right and wrong .. how to respect themselves and others.. I try to show my daughter (10) that there are consequences for every decision she makes in her life. good and bad.. so far it seems to have worked..

Its nice to see fathers say they will make sure their sons respect women.. so many times I have seen just the opposite .. Great job to all of you!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with what you guys are saying. I have been at various points in my life regarding my respect for women. I had a very strong independent mother who almost raised my brother and I singlehandedly while my dad was deployed. She taught us manners and respect for women. Flash forward to when I enlist. In bootcamp I encountered so many whiny, lazy, sluts that I began to view all women like this. The idea would become further cemented when you would see wives cheating on their husbands when the guys have to go off on float. I seriously saw more guys stay faithful to their wives than vice versa. Then I met the women who would become my wife. After that I had my first daughter. Now I wish I could go back and kick my own ass for treating women badly.

For the guys who have daughters, we have two jobs. The first is to provide an example of a good male role-model so that our daughters know what is acceptable and not. That means no referring to women as "bitches", "sluts", etc. That means holding the door for your wife/girlfriend. That means being faithful. That means not letting anyone hurt your family. The second job is to teach your daughter enough confidence and self-respect that she won't be participating in a "Girls Gone Wild" video. She will have enough "balls" for lack of a better word, to stand alone when all of her friends are sucking dick and running naked. She will know it won't be easy, but that she can turn to you when it gets hard.
