I don't how young guys, or even 30+ years old who are fking active, i mean weight training, cardio etc can be resistance to complex carbs etc. Of course i say about healthy people, not diabetic ( etc. ) and of course about less than 12-15% bf.
If you really want a good cutting try a keto diet but it has to be done right so study up before fully going into it.
If you want to use carbs during your keto diet then it needs to be around your workout time. So pre and post, or pre-intra-post. If you have an intra workout with carbs and protein (I personally do full keto so I do not) then you do not need to eat immediately after workout.
I used to always do Keto to lean out. I used Palumbo's version.
But that one week or so till you get deep into Ketosis would kill me and mess up my ability to do my job. So for this transformation I took Jay's advice and did it with carbs.
I actually dropped them lower than he suggested and I struggled. Then bumped them back up and all was fine.
