Cheat meals during cutting

I wanting to get more insight in regards to cheat meals during cutting some say they dont have them some say to have them. What are the benefits of having a cheat meal if any? And should you have them! Ive read article saying that 1-2 cheat meals a week can keep your strength up in the gym. Need help to decided weather having one would be wise!
 
It depends what your goals are and how long you will be dieting whether or not you will need them.

Re-feed is a better word than "cheat"

Some people have re-feed days, other people have re-feed meals, again it depends on the goals.

Re-feeds are used to keep the metabolism from slowing down on a longer diet or to fill up glycogen stores so you can get a good workout.
 
I always believe in reaching your goals first and then rewarding yourself with a cheat meal.
