I was in the mood for soup the other day (rainy and dreary day), but didn't want to mess up the diet with all the prepackaged crappy soups. So you may think its boring, but it should hit the "cozy" spot.
1/2 c dry oats
5 oz. grilled chicken breast
seasonings of your choice (garlic powder, rosemary, salt, pepper, etc...)
vegetables if you choose
water- @6-8 oz... amount depends on how watery you want it to be (or low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth)
REALLY easy... Cook oats in microwave with water for about 90 sec. They should be watery. Then cut up chicken and add to oats. Add seasonings and veggies. Microwave about another 45 sec. Let this mixture sit for a couple minutes so that the startch in the oats makes the water thicker. Enjoy!!
