I like making fried rice every once and a while. I will make the rice then put some low sodium soy, extra virgin olive oil, some Mrs. Dash onion and herb in a skillet, get it super hot then fry it up.
I've eaten brown rice that way for years, bothways very good,but it's not in my diet right now. Add some chicken strips, or sometimes a few shrimp,,,, yum!

This sounds like a yummy idea. What I've been doing is after I poach my chicken breasts, I add some salt and garlic powder to the water and boil my rice in it. Gives the rice a chickeny flavor.
I'm going to try the chicken bullion - and maybe beef bullion too.
Saute onions and crushed garlic in olive oil. Add rice and brown it. Add chicken broth and tomato sauce, bring to boil then simmer. Spanish rice, booya!
