Advice? No, but I'd like to know what you think happens to dietary fat that is ingested(assuming the person is not on a ketogenic diet, and is eating above maintenance, also forget EFA's).

Oh so now it's when above maintenance...of course it stores as fat then, as does carbs, and even protein potentially...why didn't you mention carbs if that is what you were talking about?

Credentials or reputation won't stop most on a bodybuilding board from arguing so that likely went in one ear and out the other.

I'm not arguing with anyone. This is a forum, where we are free to discuss.

As for carbs being stored as fat, it is my understanding that de novo lipogenesis rarely occurs in humans unless under extreme conditions (drastic carb loading/overfeeding, high alcohol intake). The fate of ingested carbs is to be oxidized under normal circumstances, period.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, or if they have a different view on the matter.
