contest wieght class?

i'm thinking of doing a show in april after looking at some pics i think i'll do well but i don't now what class i'd be in like middle wieght, i'd probably dial in around 185lb or what do you think i'm 200lb now and i'll try to get to 210 and then start to diet down, i'm around 8%bf now.-this will be my first show LOL

You can only guess.

You can't worry about what you're going to weigh in at the show. As long as you do your diet correctly and research you water manipulation the last week, then you will be as good as you can get on the day of the show.
This isn't what you probably want to hear, but it is really the truth. The worse thing you can do is be obsessed with making a "certain" wt class. If you do that, you could come in too small, or else the other way which would be too smooth. Neither one will have a happy ending. Both will be disappointing to you.
But from the info you stated above, if it is a really close to what you actually are then: you will be borderline, but most people overdiet a bit on their first show. Therefore, I would guess to say you would come in the top of the middles.

No way of knowing what yr ideal weight will be, you've never been your best yet. Just come in looking your best, then you've got something to work from as a base. Lets say you make it to 205 and have to bring it down to middleweight? Who cares, long as you bring it. Next time you come in at 188, and so forth
