I can't thank you guys enough for your kind responses. One of the things that impressed me from the first time I came on this board was how supportive everyone is of each other.

My Mom is still in critical condition. They say the heart attack was only mild to moderate, but due to her age (90 years young) it has stressed all her body systems. Right now they are still trying to get her blood pressure up to a satisfactory level and then wean her off of dopamine which is keeping her alive as of now. They also are trying to find out why her arterial oxygen saturation is extremely low. It could be a lung infection or a blood clot. Needless to say the last week has been extremely tough. Many ups and downs, a real emotional roller coaster ride.

I do believe in the afterlife and if this is her time to be "called home" I know God will welcome her with open arms. But as she had no health problems before the heart attack my family and I are hoping that she still has some time left.

I call myself "Lucky" because I have been blessed in so many ways. Having parents who loved me and taught me right from wrong is something that too many kids today are missing. I work with children with behavioral and substance abuse problems and the dysfunctional families that most of them come from makes you really grateful for your own life story.

I am also blessed to be part of this supportive community and am truly LUCKY to have you guys as friends.
