Cure to acne , snail slime?

Wow their is really some promoting about the product Celltone (Atleast in my country) which is suppose to be some sort of snail slime/creme. I heard people saying it removes all your pimples/acne within 2 weeks. Now i was a bit sceptic about it myself first. I thought just another ad. But a friend of mine bought it and he had pretty bad acne and i did see very good improvement when i saw him the last time. Ive bin browsing as much forum as i can and i hear a lot of positive feedback. Now because i,m quite poor i still dont wanna buy it until i,m absolutely sure so i was wondering if mabye any of you guys tryed it? I have no idea if its even known in the U.S. But i,m sure you can order it in there as well. If its true what they say it doesn,t only remove all acne but also all acne scars in just matter of days. It sounds so crazy and i couldn,t believe but seeing the results my friend had and the feedback i read in forums i,m really beginning to question that this stuff could actually be real. Anyway does anyone at all here tryed it or is willing to try it?

From my understanding the active ingredients are allantoin and glycolic acid.

Allantoin, the diureide of glyoxylic acid, is a crystallizable oxidation product of uric acid found in allantoic and amniotic fluids, in fetal urine and in many plants. (Ureide is a compound derived from urea and contains acid radicles. Those from one molecule of urea, as alloxan, are monoureides; those derived from two, as uric acid, are diureides). Allantoin is an urinary excretion product of purine metabolism in most mammals but not in higher apes including humans. It is produced synthetically by the oxidation of uric acid. Allantoin is active in skin-softening (keratolytic effect) and rapid cell regeneration by precipitating proteins on skin. It is used as an abrasive and astringent agent in the end products include cosmetic lotions, creams, suntan products, scalp preparations, shampoos , lipsticks and and various aerosol preparations. It is used in topical pharmaceutical preparations. Allantoin has been used in various oral hygeine preparations such as toothpaste and mouthwash as well as in eye drops to treat watering eyes and in ear drops to clean the ear canal.

Glycolic acid is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) which has a hydroxyl group on the carbon atom next to the acid group. If the hydroxy group is on the second carbon next to the acid group, it is called beta-hydroxy acid. Glycolic acid is a low mole weight compound but has dual functionality of alcohol and acid. Because of its small molecular weight and size, it has a better capability to penetrate skin. AHA is used extensively in cosmetics. It is known that it diminishes the lines on the skin and make skins look young by acting as a humectant to absorb moisture in air and by exfoliating action to break the bonds between dead skin cells, Pure glycolic acid is a white crystals; decomposes about 78 C; very soluble in water, alcohols, acetone, acetates; slightly soluble in ethyl ether; sparingly soluble in hydrocarbon solvents; polymerization occurs above 50 C. Commercially, it is available in crystal form as well as in aqueous solutions of various concentrations, usually 70 percent or less. Activating both the hydroxyl and carboxylic acid group, glycolic acid has the property to form metal complexes and can be used in cleaning applications and hard water dissolution. Aqueous solution grade is mainly used fro this cleaning application. Glycolic acid is an useful intermediate in organic synthesis including oxidation/reduction, esterification and formation of oligomers as well as long chain polymerization. Glycolic acid is naturally found in sugar beets, cane sugar, and unripe grapes. It is known that it diminishes the lines on the skin and make skins look young. Synthetic glycolic acid and its derivatives are used commercially in leather tanning and textile dyeing; as a flavouring agent and preservative in food processing, water treatment industries; pH control; and chemical intermediates as well as in household, industrial, electronics cleaning applications and cosmetics. They are also used in emulsion polymers, solvents and ink and paint additive to improve flow properties and impart gloss.

just bumping this to let you people know its no miracle product. Used it for a few days now but it doesn,t do much. I,m sure it helps a little bit but so does taking a shower. Another waste of money...
