cycle/blood pressure question

While still relatively new to PM (joined in february, and have tried to keep my mouth shut unless I had something to offer or had a question that went beyond "critique my cycle"), I am not new to the sport/dvds, etc. I want to get that out of the way, as I totally and completely agree with BN and JJ and Pesty about the newbie posts here, and I do not, under any means want to come across that way, or come across as somebody who's training is 80% drugs %20 training and 0% diet. So, I say that to say this...

I need some help from experienced bros regarding cycling/blood pressure.

I am currently running 100mg prop/75mg tren/100 mg win (oil) ED. I have run prop and winny before, like this, at those doses, several times....without issue. This is my first run with tren, and yes, I have the sides...insomnia, sweating all the time, a little bit of a short fuse....all are manageable to me.

Last night, and for the past few days, I have been feeling like my heads going to pop. Now I know there "are no signs for high blood pressure (what the doc I just went to told me)", but I am convinced my BP is through the roof... particularly last night. I ended up taking it today, and I feel much much better than last night, and it was high at 142/90 but not disturbingly so. My doc told me that he would not write for clonidine, or any other BP med, but rather told me to "not worry about it" and "if it makes me feel better, by a BP machine cause he doesnt like the ones in CVS."

Obviously the solution would be, well, either drop down the tren dose, or drop the tren altogether. And, yes, if thats what I've got to do, sure, my health is more important to me that being able to bring up my deadlift....but I'd rather not, if possible.

Does anybody have any input, suggestions, advice? i.e. otc supps, prescriptions, docs, experience with high BP?

Again, I dont want to pollute this board with bullshit, so if this comes across as such, please ignore...but I could use the help.

Thanks

Anything over 140/80 and you should at least be put on a mild diuretic like hydrochlorathyzide. 140/80 is considered mild hypertension. I myself am on 3 bp meds(all script) which has helped keep my bp around the 115/68 range. Bro, are you doing enough cardio? I find that if minimum cardio is not done during a cycle, bp increases quite a bit. Also, are you eating a lot of salty foods? Tren sure does raise bp. My suggestion to you would be to drop it for 2 weeks and see how your bp looks. If it's still high, then you should have your doc put you on a mild bp med.

ZeusChronion:

Taking one reading isn't enough. In theory you would want to buy a monitor and take a reading at the same time each day a few days running. I take mine upon waking and just before dinner.

One consideration is how long your cycle is i.e. how long your keeping your blood pressure elevated. It could be something as simple as water retension. Starting low sodium (below 2000mg daily) could be enough.

You also do not state your blood pressure off cycle. Your baseline readings on BP and bloodwork off cycle help give perspective to the on cycle readings. If you acquire the monitor you can establish you off cycle readings.

Also some people (me) readings will spike from "white coat" syndrom, meaning we can spike just because we know we are being tested. I myself, can take a reading, do a relaxation technique and five minutes later get a much better reading. Its kind of neat to learn how your body works in relation to stress.

I hope you find this helpful. BTW I am on BP meds.

thanks guys

guys-

yeah, i know one reading isnt enough...and it was suggested to me to purchase a bp monitor and check it every day for a few weeks.... My usual baseline is 110/70 (which is why I jumped a little bit at the numbers today....). As far as cardio is concerned, well, guilty as charged. I stopped doing cardio completely last summer when I began bulking in the winter..... I never REALLY started again (sans a few half-hearted attempts)....perhaps that is something I should try.

My girlfriend thinks I should try folic acid....perhaps I will.... but I will almost undoubtedly cut my tren dose significantly, likely in half. If I dont feel better in a week or so, Ill drop it all together and hope for a return to baseline.

And yeah, I kind of went into the dr's today expecting a script, and I have a sneaky suspicion the doc that I was trying to score recs (i.e. xanax, valium) as I was mentioning my high level of stress lately/perceived high blood pressure....

Regardless, if you guys got more suggestions, by all means, please let me know-

umm not running test/tren/winny ALL at the same time could greatly help your problem, if i were you id alternate the tren and the winny run one then the other both at the same time is crazy IMO plus remember a little tren goes a LONG way, play it safe and if BP doesnt improve I would listen to jm425

i suffer greatly from "white coat syndrome" like Pekkerwood does. There is a fear that you will like myself be anxious when you get ur bp taken again, somehting to keep in mind but tren doesnt help

yes white coat syndrom is real, sodium intake as well, but i have had good results with bP useing hawthorn berry. and its cheap. also c0q10 for over all cardiovascular its not cheap.

hay bro, i,m new to PM also but, i have been using AS for 10 yrs. If you are cunserned with BP buy your own monitor. I have a machine in my office just like the ones at CVS, just after calibration it said a pop can had bp 120/60.

thanks

thanks guys,

I appreciate all the responses...and yeah, Im going to buy a bp monitor. Doctor recommended an "omna" monitor, and told me I could grab it at CVS for less than 40 bucks. Seems worth it to me.

As far as steps I have taken, I stopped the tren for two days, and then restarted at 37.5 per day rather than 75 mg. Winstrol is remaining the same until otherwise noted.

I seem to feel ok, I took my BP yesterday and it seems to be falling in the high normal range, and I no longer feel like my head is attached to a rocket that is about to launch... so all in all, its good news.

Time will tell I guess at to whether the news stays good. Oh, and I may try the hawthorn berry/coq10. Im always nervous about OTC supplements, as, like EVERYBODY, we have all been screwed in one way or another by the supp companies... (hell I remember being convinced that the only reason I was not 275 at 4% body fat was because I had just not found the right combination of muscletech products!)... but hell, if you boys say it works...well, I trust PM more than I trust the local supp shop employees!

Again- thanks all

what about adding Potassium and Magnesium to assist with lowering BP? I've read where they could be a benefit.

Along with the tren headaches. Make certain you're taking in enough water. I know of those who would get bad headaches caused by a lack of H2O. Once their water was increased and maintained, the headaches went away.

ya your best bet is to get a monitor just make sure if u get the one for your arm to make sure it will fit your arm size cause they really dont go high the ones i seen where like 17 inchs u might have to buy the wrist one
