Digestive track fucked up when dieting?

I eat all kinds of garbage and junk food offseason and never have a problem. Large amounts of food. When i start dieting, something weird happens. My stomach starts to bloat and seems like my intestines are backed up. I shit probably 4x per day too. I dont understand why this is. Maybe the addition of vegetables which i dont eat at all offseason? Maybe too much artificial sweetener? Maybe not enough fats in my diet, since my diets usually are pretty low in fats?

Any thoughts? This happen to anyone else?
 
Sometimes I have gotten that effect. I just figured it was the body and healthy food flushing the junk out. I tighten up a couple days into the diet and its good then. That tight ab feeling is what motivates me to stay with the diet. Good Luck with yours.
 
Do you add any drug you're not on in the off-season? Thyroid makes you shit a lot. IGF-1 and GH can sometimes cause problems as well etc.

This is my first time using any of that. My stomach STAYS bloated the entire diet, as if my intestines were clogged. Even tried metamucil, doesnt work. No clue whats going on.

you should try a physillium husk cleanse, this same thing hapened to me a yr ago when I statred my diet.I tried the metamucil but it didnt do much for me either... I researched it and did a fast for 2 days, with lots of physillium and water and just waited until there wasnt much coming out of me any more... it took like an inch of my waist and I felt great! heres a question when your shittin 4x a day is your stool solid or are you paintin the toilet?
 
Hey Phil... could I have some info on this? I get this a lot too. Especially when I totally change my diet around. I get gassy and bloat too. I always assumed I just upset the flora in my gut. I'd love some info on intestinal health. Getting tired of having to loosen that belt.... LOL
 
Well I dont know what phils super secret enzyme formula is, and why he dosent post it here to help any one else out?, but here are some things that have worked for me


here are some enzymes I tried a month or so ago, and they have worked very well!

also as far as gut flora goes try some organic apple cider vinager on an empty stomach 1 tblp 2x a day, this will also help to cleanse out the liver and body

probiotics have been very usefull to me as well, if you dont know too much about them, read up there are many benifits. heres the best I have found, primal defense ultra. these should also be taken on an empty stomach to maxamize benifit.

eating a high alkaline diet will also help digestion a lot too here is a guide

Not sure exactly why this would occur when dieting but if you think about all the food you eat and how much gets left behind in your digestive track and intestines you can imagine over time how much builds up. Think of it like a big smooth kitchen pipe that over the years builds up a layer of crud around the inner lining. A good intestinal/colon cleanse every 6 months is like washing your pipes with drano. It's not uncommon for people to lose 10-15 lbs of excess waste during a 15-30 days cleanse. These are average people too who don't consume 4,000-6,000 kcals daily. Digestive enzymes and probiotics are excellent too but I'd first give the cleanse a shot.
