Anybody use allulose when dieting?

It’s a nonnutritive sweetener but I never hear of it being used or recommend.
It’s has some very unique potential.

I’m helping a guy diet right now and who was starving and really struggling. I had him start using allulose and he said it was a complete game changer.

I’ve also had people cycle between allulose/ berberine and ozempic with great success.

There still needs to be more data but in real world use it works pretty damn well.

I usually get people to take 5 grams about 30 minutes before every other meal.

I view allulose the same way as soluble corn fiber/sugar alcohol. They seem to be fine as far as losing weight, when dieting, but they tear up your stomach, especially when dieting and overusing them. I feel like the gastric distress is reason enough not to use them. This is the first cut where I did not incorporate these, and I feel like a got much better results. Unfortunately, I absolutely love protein bars and still eat them, when bulking, but those weird undigestible carbs do something to the gut and its probably best to leave them out. I have no issues with sweeteners like sucralose, aspartame, monk fruit etc.

For me putting alluslose in the same group as maltitol would be unfair. Now I have NOT gone hog wild with allulose and limit consumption to sub 3g sprinkled on my rice in place of the dextrose I would be using were I attempting to grow. It has been completely neutral on my GI at up to 5g. I can also tolerate eyrithitol in small amounts and I USED to be able to handle 100g+ of maltitol in a single sitting, when I was 20 years younger. Now even a couple grams of maltitol absolutely destroys me in a "Cdiff like" fashion. The soluble/corn fibers I can have some, one bar worth max, any thing past that is a disaster.

This guy has some good videos on allulose science. He is NOT a hardcore bodybuilder but a research scientist(Harvard I think,) take that for whatever you want.

They use it in Sweet Baby Ray's No Added Sugar BBQ sauces (Sweet and Spicy:p), and i do well with it. It may come down to the amount you consume, like most things. I add it to my ground beef (or chicken) and rice meals.

I had no idea it was in sweet baby rays haha. Goes to show how the devil is in the dose. I actually lied in my previous post then! been having 4 servings of sweet baby rays bbq sauce without any issues (mesquite). Now if you're having 20'gs in 1 sitting multiple times a day (I've done this) no Beuno

It definitely can cause gastric distress depending on the dose but its different from other non nutritive sweeteners in that it is a glp1 agonist, there’s evidence it inhibits the absorption of dietary fat, increases insulin sensitivity, and possibly improves kidney health and repairs kidney damage

I know it's in the "No added sugar" items they carry, but i'm not sure about the regular sauces. It's really good! lol

I didn't know that, lol. I'll have to read up on this some more!

Good info

Good info IntenseVolume …

Just to be clear though; it prevents the progression of Kidney disease (mostly in diabetics with Nephropathy) and doesn’t necessarily reverse poor kidney function/disease.

Good stuff though
Thank you buddy.

I appreciate the correction as well.

I had no idea it was a glp1 agonist, very interesting considering my company will be launching a product where allulose is the primary sweetener. This makes me even more excited!

Awesome man. I’ll have to check out some of your products.

I had originally never even heard of it.
I was in line at the pharmacy and saw it and googled it out of boredom.
