dreaded Valentines Day...

Hey fellas.... anyone else out there NOT looking forward to Valentines day? well, i managed to get outta gifts, but now am left a bit lonesome.. I was dating a nice woman, and well, she was progressing with her feelings WAY faster than i was. had no sympathy for a self employed REAL ESTATE agent. lol... funny, but my job is basically being available 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. and lord almighty, she was wearing me out about spending time together. SO, to the can she went.. (sorry ladies, not making fun) but lord. it was bad..

so, was I wrong? do i call her for some company? oddly enough, the exwife has been calling, and we had lunch last week.. would it be a bad idea to spend V day with the ex as friends? i am leaning towards this way, and OTH and Ouch will know even more about the situation with her. but fellas, let me have it. give a brother some advice..

ya'll take it easy... good stuff...

Without knowing what the situation is I would say if you're comfortable spending V-Day with your ex wife and keeping it at a platonic level then go for it. Even if something intimate happened I don't think it would be all that bad of a thing as long as an agreement was reached as to what you're both expecting (i.e. neither of you expects it to be a reconcilition). Stay away from the woman it didn't work out with. You don't want to send the wrong signals.

But I don't think there's anything wrong with a person spending V-Day alone. That's what I'll be doing this year.

well, we will just say she is certified, blue tagged crazy... lol.. nahhh... just a little indecisive... shes a interesting woman, and i have a great time hanging out with her.. we just dont agree about a few things.. we have been divorced for 2 years, but i have NOT spent a v day without her since, or for the past 6 years. so, you are right, i need to keep it STRICKLY platonic.

but we will see. i may spend it alone like you.

Tomorrow no different than any other miserable day in my life. I choose to be alone and honestly could care less. I used to stress out and had this been a couple of years back I would be pulling out my hair (which I dont need to do). I would have taken the day off from work and went on a hunt and victimized some poor girl...But alone, sometimes isnt that bad. Better than being in a relationship that you dont want to be in that much I do know.
