Equipoise and Blood question

My gf's uncle that is in his upper 40's that competed in the early 90's went to the ER this morning. Definitely not his first time as he had 2 open heart surgeries, 2 knee surgeries, opened his abdomen to untwist intestine and various other surgeries throughout his life. He joked the other day about if he had the most surgeries to make a record.
Here's what he told me about his gear usage. He said he would always take small dose, nothing over a CC or as much as others. Just small amounts. No way to know for sure, but that's what we will have to go on. I'm pretty sure that using gear constantly for 20 years would probably have him to be on TRT. He isn't prescribed anything and I don't know his blood work, just my guess that he would be on TRT if was checked.

Now he showed me a bottle of Equipoise that was a 50ml bottle that he said he been using for around 3 years. I know Equipoise raises RBC count but would continuous use cause blood clots? When I say continuous, let's use 3 years minimum.

He had a minor heart attack this morning and in the ER right now. They said he has to wait 2 days before they can put a stint. I'm curious if this would be caused from the Equipoise or could it be caused by Test Cypionate if he just took 200mg for the first time laying off for 3 months.

I appreciate all input. (At least he knows all the nurses by name as he practically lives at the hospital)

Sorry to hear that. Did you mean you think he's been on eq for 3 years?

Yeah, I do think so. And I may have found an answer to my question.
"This is a real concern. Red blood cell count elevation can result in blood clots, strokes and circulatory depreciation. "

I found that from a site that says that could happen when taking the upper dose range, but I think it could also apply if someone takes it for years on end.

can't they check his RBC count??? Or do you mean he has stopped now? What is your concern exactly here? That he might go back on it and put himself at danger?

I think all AAS will raise RBC...although I could be wrong about that...somebody correct me if thats wrong...I remember being told even test will raise RBC.

Yea man 3 years is a long time to be taking eq (well any aas), but especially eq with all the more blood in the body.

I think your right, I've heard that pretty much all aas raise RBC. But I know eq will more than the rest (I think), up to 2 quarts.

I was just really wondering if long term use of equipoise would cause blood clots. That was my main question. I don't think he stopped and that's what caused the blood clot and sent him to ER this morning.
I don't think he'll go back on it if I tell him that EQ could cause blood clots for that long of use.
My post was a question more than a concern.... he's pretty hard headed.

I appreciate the feedback.

I'm 95% sure (no I'm not a Dr.) that the EQ had something to do with this clot. I told him about 3 weeks ago about EQ raising red blood cell count. Freakin dummy.

I've heard from a few people that your body will produce up to 2 quarts more blood, thats a lot, let alone being on it for 3 years, its bound to happen. Most people run for like 14 weeks or so. Do you know if he was taking baby aspirin?

Yeah, that is a lot. No telling how much medication and if baby aspirin he takes. I would think he does take it as heart disease runs in the family.

It's where they did one of his bypasses that is clotted right now. He will have to stay in ICU for a couple days to thin out the blood before doing the stint.

Have him ask the Doc

or you ask - in a hypothetical way.

I certain that AAS raises your RBC or hematocrit.

Keep us updated man, its a scary thing. Im bout to hop on eq myself, not the best thread to be reading before I do lol.

lol will do. I think it's a completely different situation. 1. I don't think you'll use it for years on end (I hope not). 2. You probably don't have heart troubles like him and had 2 open heart surgeries.

oh and like I always say, "I don't think anything is harmful if not abused." Once something is abused whether it's drugs, aas, or anything else, that's where you get in trouble. just my opinion
