ever try getting your OWN files from a dr?

what a nightmare and a joke at the same time.


so i moved 3 hours away and am almost out of androgel, so i tried to make an appt with a certain dr....................call my old dr, they tell me i need to write them a letter b4 they can release my files..............so i do that, they then proceed to mail them, not fax them, which took a week...........


so then the dr they were sent to , that office keeps telling me for 2 weeks, hes reviewing my files and will get in touch with me, i says, listen , its been 2 weeks, and im almost out of androgel, how lengthy of a review is he doing?

"were sorry, youll have to get a script from your old dr then", lady, i just told you hes 3 hours away............."well i cant tell you when hell call you"


so i said f him, made an appt with another dr that didnt need to see my files first for an appt................


so i call the drs office where my files are now sitting across town........."we cant send them over to another office, they are not ours to give".........well can i come pick them up with id? ..........."no we cant release them they are not ours".................yeah but they are mine!?


so i call my old dr, explain whats going on..........."well, we couldnt fax them because it ties up our system"....................meanwhile im thinking they just dont wana drop the coin on a long distance call..............heres where my assumption comes thru.................

well, can you mail them to me overnight? .............."well thats gonna cost money"......................you didnt make enuff money off of me over the years? where is the patient courtesy? is it all about money? (arguing with her of course)


"sir, we sent them once allready, even tho it took a week,were "allowed" 30 days to release your files, were also 'allowed" to charge you .75 a page, which we didnt".....................im about ready to choke someone at this point, i could feel my whole body get hot


i said ya know what, since its all about money and not about helping the patient, you charge me as much as you can ok ?

she hung up on me ....................now tell me


what is wrong with the health care system in this country ,that when a previous patient is almost out of his meds, all you can think about is mail fees and page costs.......................

Bro, I fight w/ my doctor and his nurses and receptionist all of the time over the stupidest shit ever. They are all about collecting as much money as they can off of you and don't really give a shit about what is going on. I needed a script refilled( non narcotic ) they tell me i need to come in for an office visit so he can give it to me.. Blah blah blah. I wanted to talk to the dr over the phone she said no, and that he will tell me the same thing. So i had a few choice words for her. This is not the only thing..... I have many many more stories......like having an appt. And you end up waiting in the waiting area for an hour then once you are in the room, you wait another 30 minutes. Man, I've got shit to do, a job etc....

This crap happens to me all of the time. Healthcare is a joke!

I recently ran across some and used one packet every day for ten days. I didn't notice a difference but then again it was only ten days...

EXACTLY , you paid for them they are yours , have the Dr.'s office maake a file copy for themselves and take your shit home , its a hassel and the don't like to do it but push the issue and they will generaly help you out.

they are worried about shit getting thru customs, if this country wasnt run by overcharging crooks nothing would have to come thru customs, they just dont seem to understand , other countries benefit from US greed.............and where do most drs come from? other countries, cuz after all, its easy to steal in america, everyone is looking elsewhere


shit, you can even come here and go to medical school for free under certain circumstances, try that if you were born in america.......


go to school for free, and then live a nice comfortable life overcharging the same system that allowed you the opportunity to succeed.....mf

I was just messing with you. I was on Androgel close half a year at max dose and my levels stayed low. If it works for you that is great. I know it's expensive. I think my insurance was paying about $400 a month.

Is that at 10g a day? I was going thru 4 pumps a month I believe. Regardless, it did not absorb well into my skin apparently. 5g put my levels at 190 and 10g put them at 400.

i lose bennys end of june, so for 6 months i can either skate or pay $325 myself, doesnt seem worth it, if i can get it at costco for $150 , how much could an office visit for a script be out of pocket? $100? i can find out my rbc levels for free donating blood so.............


amazing, you can almost get anything on the net , i cant find androgel pumps anywhere, just those pouches, and even then i have no idea if its the real deal..........
