extremely bloated- any advice?

Hey all
last couple of months I have seriously let myself go, just let stuff get on top of me and been eating like a fat b*****d. All the junk food has caused me to be extremely bloated so was hoping you guys/girls could help. First of all im getting serious again and cutting all the crap, which is obviously gonna help but I was also wondering about the use of bromolien and if it would help?
 
Salt, simple sugars, and water intake are the first things to look at. I'm not sure how much water you are drinking, but I would up the water intake. Water in = water out. Limit salt and simple sugars too.

water intake is on average 4-5 litres a day, no tea, coffee or soft drinks. My salt intake will be too high as my diet has been terrible and i've been eating alot of junk food, same with sugars. So im guessing just getting back into the routine of a healthy diet and cutting out the crap is gonna sort the problem. Once again thanks:D
 
Dandelion, not just an annoying weed!

In conjunction with the previous advice, supplemental dandelion root(taraxicum oficinale) is an excellent natural diuretic which is also potassium-sparing (a good thing). It will help the body get rid of excess fluid, lower blood pressure, and has the added bonus of having liver health benefits. Btw what the hell is that in your avatar?:eek: :D
 
I agree, with AWN, but I would also reccomend to take it slow, because youve been eating this way for a while, and to go kick it in to high gear with clean food, you may digress from the healthy eating and go to the junk food bulking diet again, because its very hard to eat perfectly right away, it takes time to get used to it, so cut the small things out slowly like junk foods, sweets, soda, etc. and take it slow so you can look good all the time and retain as much muscle as possible, diet is key in this situation.
 
When I feel that way, cutting those carbs way down works great for me. I hold less water and have more energy.

Lots of option here! What's magical with the human body, aside from some serious health damages involved, is that it's never too late... you can ALWAYS go back in shape when motivated enough to be stricter on the diet :)

If your main concern is just to get rid of that water buffalo look to restart on good basis, I would go by lowering my total kcal intake and do something like a 30% PRO / 40% CARB / 30% FAT diet, with FRUITS as the sole carb source.

You'll be amazed at how much water you can shed just by cutting all processed foods and eating a lot of fruits ;)

All great advice.....the hard part is putting it to work.

Just slowly get yourself back into Braven. Clean up the diet, cardio, etc. Within a week or two you should feel a lot better which in turn will get you more motivated.

Dont get down on yourself. We've all been there and know what your feeling. Keep your head up and give yourself a little time.
