Hey PM! First post to the boards here showing a 3 year transformation going from 260 to 235 lbs between the two photos. I started as high as 305 and I’m currently the leanest I’ve ever been. Been doing nothing but powerlifting in between these photos but after a bad back injury that just hasn’t healed after 2 years I decided about 10 weeks ago to commit to bodybuilding and just picked a show in 10 weeks to do (I think I’m on track but I’m pretty bad at rating my own physique tbh). I’d gladly take any tips or advice either in general or based off something you see in the photos! I know posing will be a focus here on out

Great transformation! I was in the same situation about 3 years ago myself!

Nice bro. Will this be your first BB show then? Pretty impressive if so as you appear to look a shit ton better than some guys I have seen going into a show that have prepared for well over a year strictly for BB. Good luck to you.

Out of curiosity, what was your weight for competing in PL and what were your best competition lifts?

Yup it’ll be my first show! I started doing bb style training about 3 months ago and stopped powerlifting. I competed in the 275 class so I’ve lost a good bit of bodyfat already. I have no clue where I’m at bodyfat wise now but I’m hoping I’m on track to be legit stage ready in 10 weeks! When I was 22 I squatted 727 and pulled 750 with a herniated disc and worked up to a 395 bench but unfortunately had a pec tear from my football days that really killed my pressing. I was lucky to be very strong naturally but I was just hurt 24/7 and really didn’t have the durability needed to be great at that, especially with how bad my low back got. I’m hoping in a few years I can grow into my frame and be a solid SHW competitor and move some heavy weight on safer movements instead
