Foam Rollers

Yeah, great if I'm stiff and to get blood into muscle.

Can be a great tool for those using Syntherol. Also can help to an extent with scar tissue - as long as it's not a severe case of it and in a muscle group you can put a lot of pressure on easily with the roller... like deltoids.

I was looking into getting one for scar tissue, I try to do one phyiso session each week and was going to use between sessons. I will have to get one, thanks for the thumbs up bro.

Are you able to use this on all body parts? Or is it just like back/quads type deal.

And, Shelby, how much would you say it improved your recovery?

I would imagine you can hit pretty much every body part if you're creative. EliteFTS.com sells a book on how to use it on different bodyparts.

I would say it has improved my recovery 541% :D

Tsk tsk tsk shelbster. I thought for sure you'd already have a collection of these at your house.

I know, late to the party as usual...

I did buy it a year ago, just never got around to using it until recently.

I'll definitely be using it daily from now on though. Cheap and easy, just like my women.

I mainly use mine for stretching and breaking up adhesions in the sub-scap area, really helped eliminate alot of my shoulder pain.

Don't forget it made you more anabolic too, by 120%!
Gona check walmart today when I go, just because I want one now, if I cant find a decent one just gona order it.

see if there is a relax the back store in your area, they sell em

I've been using mine for close to two years now and I think it is awesome! I think it is something every bodybuilder could benefit from.

It's mostly back, IB, quads imo, but you can get creative with it.

I'm a little too lazy to search for links, but Eric Cressey (author & regular TNation contributor) mixes in a tennis ball in a similar sort of fashion for the infranspinatus, glutes and calves.

Every little bit helps when you get old haha.

I have the green and white one and use it daily on my upper back. Can't live without it now.

PB

I hope to get mine next week around Wen. Cant wait to use it

i use a 6 inch pvc pipe, it penetrates deeper than a foam roller, but initially its like the hardest deep tissue massage youve ever got..... i used it cos was too cheap to buy a foam one... now im used to it im glad i did.. the tennis ball for the rototor cuff muscle works great against a wall or on the floor.....

great port shelby,, this tip will help everyone..

rolling your spine from top to bottom SLOWLY helps with mobilising the vertebral disks and realigning them after heavy compression or sheer forces, ie squats, deads, farmers walks, tyres etc..

i foam roll my legs everytime i cardio and do legs helps SOO much with rom when i squat and it helps with soreness

I have this same foam roller Shelby, it works awesome! :D

Well worth the cheap cost...I have used them especially post workout and they are incredible. Where can you get ongoing massages for a one time $20?

For those of you familiar with Eric Cressey's work, check out his website or book Maximum Strength for more info. And yes, they can be used on any bodypart.
