Why does everyone fear HRT the rest of their lives? Have you ever seen a man improve physically muscularity wise from the age of 40 to 60 who was natural? Your endo testosterone whether you use steroids or not is most likely going to be lower after the age of 35.....so here are your choices.
Stay natural and disenegrate from 40 years old onward
Juice and then get off at 40 and disenegrate from 40 years old onward.
The reason men look pretty much the same from 20 to 40 muscularity wise is because they dont have a huge skewering of their testosterone. 40 to 60?.....disenegration city
Want a one way ticket to huge health problems whether you are a juicer or natural? Let your endo test levels get really low post 40 years of age.....
I always get a chuckle out of this concept "oh im so scared of having to use HRT the rest of my life"
Uhhhh what if you are actually healthier on HRT!!!!! (and that goes for whether you were an abuser or never used steroids in your life.
Anybody out there know of a man 66 years old walking around with the same endogenous testosterone levels he had when he was 26......please let me know if you have......because I sure as hell havent heard of it.
Phenomenal post DC!
As to the original question and my own personal experience(s)...I've been OFF, everything, since last July, and I "feel" great. I am much smaller, but have gained some fat in the process. I haven't had any testing done on my endo-HPGA, but I 'Feel' good from a day-to-day stand-point. I'm not saying I feel like I did when I was in my early 20's, as I am 34 years old now.
No excuses, but I haven't even been to the gym since last July. Again, from a physical appearance stand-point, I don't look all that great right now, but I have been productive and enjoyed my life since d/c 'stuff' and the gym.
I don't plan on NOT going back to the gym, just have had to put a lot of things on hold (for the time being). I had a stomach virus last summer, and stopped 'stuff' and the gym expecting to go get back on track after I felt better. About 2 weeks after I started feeling better, in August, my fiance's grandmother had a stroke, and from that point until this past January (2010), I just devoted everything to helping my fiance take care of her G-ma. I could have fit in the gym time if I wanted too, but I just didn't want to...but I was fine with that. Her G-ma died in January, so I can look back and say with complete faith that i did everything I could to help others out. It felt great to be honost.
Anyway, I am doing a hectic dietetic internship schedule right now for 2010, and have been busy putting my efforts into that for the time being.
I'm going to start back at the gym soon hopefully, but for sure I am going to at least hit the cardio, I have not been doing that at all, and there really isn't any excuse for it.
But any way, i've used miniscule doses up to 3'ish grams of gear since i was 19 years of age, if that helps at all. Never really had any bad lab values come back during all that time. I have got checked out 1-2x/yr most of that time either from the free University Health center checks, & working in clinics and hospitals. The worse side I have had was gyno, but had that removed 3 years ago. Maybe i'm lucky though. The fiance and I are going to try to have a child at this time, so not sure when i'll go back 'on.'
I agree with DC, HRT doesn't have to be looked at like you are joining the darkside, if it means a person will ultimately benefit from it and have BETTER health. So many men have had a turn-around for the better with their lives from HRT. The board i MOD at, there are LOTS of older guys who post their benefits, and are in great health.
Fukk, not sure where i'm going with all this
Anyway, my 2 cents
