frozen amps

So I found some amps in my truck and the oil inside was frozen. I brought them inside and they thawed out very quickly, just to make sure I ran them under some hot water. Are these ok to use? They look normal.

as in u had no idea they were there?? Man.. some ppl are just asking to get in trouble... id be a little more carful man...

but on another note.. guess its nice to find something u didnt know ya had.. like reachin in a pocket of a pair of jeans u wore a few days before and pullin out a nice 20$ bill

Hey Ivanko, those are definately good to go. THe freezing over can be common in colder climates around the world due to the BB alcohol in the amp. Once it warms up, it falls back into solution and is good to go.

Yea. I know. I actually got pulled over a month ago and they had to have been there at the time... good thing I didn't try to cross the boarder! (i do regularly). it was only 2 amps, I don't even know how they got there though

Yes they should be fine.

Be careful not to break them. Running warm water on something cold and cold water on something hot can break the glass. UMMM!!! How did I ever figure this out!!!

I hope there still good... or would have ruined a lot of gear back in the mid 90's doing the "freezer" test... lol

I just had the same problem I just held the Amps in my hand and Body temp within seconds it was back to normal solution. I pooped my pants at first with 20+ froze I was scared that alot of Pennies thrown away if it wasn't for the Knowledge of this Coomunity here at PM I probably would have.
