Funny thing happened on the way.....

BACK from my caribbean cruise. I had posted last year about some gear getting seized, well it seems that the ghost from gears past came back to haunt me!! Coming back into the port of miami after a week long cruise feeling refreshed, we start to debark the ship. For those that may have not had the pleasure of cruising, you check in and out as you would a hotel (by all rights it is a floating hotel). Anyway, as I'm checking out with my little sail and sign card, I get a please wait you have a message, the purser (sp?) will be right over to see you. I'm thinking, ok, no biggie. My wife and I then get escorted to the luggage area, asked to retrieve our luggage and then proceed to a screening area with US Customs. From there begins a whole battery of questions... where are you from, what's your social, what do you do for a living, what are your hobbies, do you workout, all to get to what he really wanted to ask (and did) have you ever ordered any anabolics. Of course abiding by the golden rule of deny, deny, deny, he finally after about 15 minutes let us on our way and just 'recommended' that I "be careful of what I order on the internet." Needless to say that my wife after that was bitching about it, but I was able to put her at ease and that I only have been ordering domestic from that seizure point on. I figured I would just pass along my experience for those that may be planning on traveling abroad, cruise or otherwise and have shared in my same seizure experience. Guess still after a year my name and address was still flagged. FRom my understanding your flagged for 18 months. Domestic only for me brother!!

if you left on a cruise, customs is at every port, you never notice say when your in the bahamas and they tell you cubn cigars are illigal in the united states you will be checked, or say you by couple bottles of rum the ask you what you claim, customs is all over those cruislines.
