Taking it just on training days is fine. I notice when i take i get a little hypo/hungry a little while after.
I'll be curious how it works. I took 200mg with my pre workout carb meal, and another 200mg post workout. I've got one more carb meal as the last meal of the day today, think I'll pop another.
Since I am pretty deep into my diet(~3 weeks out) I assume it should help quite a bit as I'm very low carb?

Does anyone really notice a difference between a quality ALA product verses an R-ALA product? I remember years ago all the info coming out of elitefitness regarding ala/rala. The hype was often focused on the R version for being useful as a gda......does this still matter?

No difference at all and i noticed that Swansons 600mg ALA is alot more potent than any R-ALA i ever tried.
Im thinking of trying Jarrows ALA Sustain 300mg. Its a sustained release tablet.....releasing 1/3 (100mg) immediately and the remaining 2/3 (200mg) slowly over time. Most of the literature Ive read shows rala/ala having an extremely short active half life.
Planning to dose 4 300mg sustain tabs upon waking on my 24hr carb refeed.
Don't use GDAs postworkout IMO. Muscle insulin sensitivity is already exactly where you want it to be. IF you so choose to use a GDA, agmatine + Na-R-ALA would be best.
Berberine seems to be the only expensive GDA. Where do you guys get yours?
