Hey guys, thought I would post this up just to share the info and results as I go. Currently my wife and I are trying to have a baby so I've been getting all the fun tests done to see what (if anything) may be wrong with me.

I'm in my early 30s and have been off everything except OTC supps (no prohormones) since February, just eating clean and training hard like usual. Previously I'd been on for an extend amount of time doing blast and cruise and dieting for shows. All told I feel safe in saying I abused the hell out of my body during that time and I take full responsibility for doing so, this thread is just to share some of the results for how my body is recovering.

Liver: Currently my ALT is at 90, this is not good. I'll be getting tested again in two weeks and have an ultrasound scheduled for next month, but until I get tested again I'm going off all OTC supps, so no vitamins, no glucosamine, no green tea, no creatine, the only things going into me will be food. There is the possibility that the supps were causing the elevation and we'll find out whether or not that is the case.

Thyroid: People always seem to ask about thyroid recovery after extended use of T3. I used T3 through all 20 weeks of my last diet for nationals and stopped taking it last October (about 8 months ago). My TSH came back at 2.43, normal.

Fertility: The full count hasn't come back yet but motility was at 30% (50% is normal) and the Dr. said that the timing of the sample analysis could be the cause for this because motility decreases from the time the sample is given. This will be getting tested again when I get my next bloodwork done.

Being big and competitive is cool, but lets face it, being healthy is more important in the long run and as your priorities change you start to pay more attention to this kind of stuff. I'll post more results as they come just so anybody else who finds themself in a similar situation can use it as a reference. :)

I will second this thought and would like to sincerely thank Phil, Emeric and all the others who have guided the posts in recent months down this road. The posts have taken on a mature, health oriented tone with everyone's health as a primary topic/concern. Also a big thanks to everyone who is posting their blood work results as hopefully this "trend", for the lack of a better descriptive, will be a constant reminder of regular health checkups. It is an easy aspect to let slide. The information here is so condensed and rich in content and is a testiment to the quality poeple here. Not just members, but people, good people. Personally, I enjoy the simple, Occum's Razor type mentality to supplements. Simple, organic type supplements with an emphasis on good quality food/eating.

This is an amazing board! Thanks Big A, thanks to all the members!

Keep us posted bro, I am interested in your results...
I too would like to thank phil and emeric, they both have helped me out tremedously.... great peeps on this board.

I've been reading all the different blood work posts as well.

Please keep us posted. I love learning and hearing what others are doing to become healthier individuals.

Got the rest of the sperm count back today. To say the news is not good would be a bit of an understatement. Normal production is between 50-100Million swimmers/ml, my sample was <1, so basically nonexistant. Next step is to get another sample analysed and visit the urologist.

What makes this situation even less fun is that my wife had a miscarriage last October. I was on at the time so there are basically two options in how to approach this, either Palumbo was right and above a certain test dosage the production of normal amounts of sperm is not compromised or I'll be visiting a divorce lawyer shortly after my urologist visist.

how much t3 were you taking for the 20 weeks?

I would have to check my log books but I believe it was between 100-150mcg, don't think I got up to 200, but I did taper down off of it to allow my body plenty of time to readjust.

During your time on did you run HCG or clomid or anything to "maintain" fertility? If so, what was your protocol? Thank you for your post.

No HCG, but had used clomid during cruise periods and I'd been taking clomid since I came off. Right now I've gone off the clomid as part of trying to get my liver values down and will proceed with whatever course of action the specialist recommends.

Quick update, just got the results of a second round of blood and fertility tests back. INR (liver function) is normal, ALT is down to 52 (so basically normal), and sperm count/motility still sucks.

I brought my ALT down by stopping all vitamins and pill supplements (still ate my whey and vitargo) and by not training for 4 days before having my blood taken.
