I've been 190, staying lean until fall starts shooting for 200 this year

What's the training like?

Add 20-50 lbs on all your lifts in the 8-12 rep range in the next year, and be in a caloric surplus when you are "blasting"; I will guarantee you will put on a significant amount of tissue for your frame even after many years of training.
And find exercises that mechanically suit you, any body part that hasn't responded well in years needs to be reevaluated with a different set of exercises.
Do this, be a monk with your diet, and take "some" drugs (depending on your response, blood work and tolerance); and it will take you 10x further than trying to rethink the chemical aspect like your splitting an atom.
