What Glycerol supplement is everyone using? I was using redcon1 big noise but they changed the formula for the worst. terrible supplement now. Glycerol keeps me full as fuck. Love it.

OK, I'm a Glycerol nube. How, when, how much and why do you use it?
I've seen it recommended to use alongside DNP but aside from that nothing.
 
I'm not big into worrying about pre workout supplements any more but when I was used to get at Walmart and put in a shake. Was in the pharmacy section stashed on the shelf was a bitch to locate.
 
Bumping this, curious how much water should we be taking in with it pre workout to take advantage?

I find one scoop is enough. Using it Intra wo is fine as well.
 
The powdered stuff is hard to mix with water, the liquid is better. I don't use it for preworkout, but I love it for long bike rides in the hot summer, and long training sessions in BJJ in our hot summers with no AC in the club. Buy the cheap gallons on Amazon, don't pay the insane markup that supplement companies charge for this stuff. Glycerol is a very cheap product.

As for how much to use, there have been some studies on this, and this here is what I follow.

To hyperhydrate with glycerol, Desroches recommends 1 to 1.2 grams of glycerol per kilogram of body mass (or 2.2 to 2.6 grams per pound body mass), taken with 25 mL of fluid per kilogram of body mass (or 0.39 fluid ounces per pound). For a 150-pound person, this would be about 330 grams of glycerol with about 59 ounces of water.

“It is recommended to consume the fluids with glycerol 90 to 180 minutes before exercising in order to make sure that the water is well absorbed and that you have time to urinate the water that your body is not able to retain,” Desroches says.

Don't mix anything else in this, just water and glycerol. Keep the intraworkout powders in a separate drink , if you need those.

That formula seems really extreme… also the ratios seem reversed (in reference to g per kg and g per lb). 330g of glycerin would make anyone damn near shit their pants I’d imagine, not to mention that’s almost 1500 calories.
 
Glycerol oral(liquid) seems to give me nausea, more people that get this?

Like 6-10 grams pre-wo.

Not horrible or anything but I didn’t want to start taking something regularly that may be a problem cumulatively.

My Cystatin and eGFR values are just “ok” so I need to be a little extra cautious.
