As we have talked about before eating when you are not hungery is a bad idea. By choking down protein when your body doesn't want it results in a catabolic response and your muscles flatten out. From personal experience has any of you kept an eye on what your skin looks like after a few days of forcing food down? Has your skin become gummy from retaining water and getting fatter?

how does forcing down extra protein result in a catabolic response of muscles?

I see the point that ""EXTRA"" is not necessary and that too much of it just like anything else will just make you fat, BUT I don't see how eating too much will cause Muscle Catabolism?
 
id like to hear what Phil has to say about this topic.. he would be the one to ask about the reasoning behind this.

actually vince gironda used to say the same thing, he said use your hunger as guide , if your training very hard your appetite will increase and you will eat more but if your force yourself to eat more than you hunger is asking for your body will go into a catabolic state. he used to say this all the time. were he got the idea i am not sure
