Hey Guys,
last time i posted was back in Feb, when i found out my test levels were on the low end (free test=72; normal range 47-244]). Initially decided to have them checked due to ED symptoms. Since then Ive seen an endocrinologist, and got some more bloodwork done:
Total test =567 ng/dL (range 262-1593)
LH 2.4 (0.8-7.6)
FSH 3.6 (0.7-11.1)
prolactin 8.7 (2.5-17)
My endo told me Im normal (btw Im 29 healthy and fit otherwise, so I though this was complete BS) and that ED symptoms are in my head....yeh well thats doctors (some) for you...
I went back to my PCP 2 wks ago, and just got back the results.
total test = 308 (range 250-1100 ng/dL)
DHEA 230 (110-510 mcg/dL)
free test = 84.4 (35.0-155.0 pg/mL)
so, does anyone know of a good endo in the philadelphia area who will actually take the time to listen to my problems/concerns before dismissing me as stupid? It just doesnt seem normal for my test levels at 29 to be just 7% above the lower limit and im fit and healthy, plus I have a whole range of symptoms that Ive had for years before even thinking that maybe I should have my test levels checked....seriously, why dont doctors listen?
Any advice or information would really help. thanks!
