i cant believe it, my red bloods cells came back at 55 percent and the cut off is 54 percent...

i have been on HTR at 125mg test e since march/april
a month ago i started using hgh and bumped up the test to 250mg per week..

i do take aspirin and fish oil on a daily bases , but how do i lower this RBC?

i guess i will skip the test for a few weeks for sure, how about the hgh?

i never donated blood before i just thought i would be a good idea after i was put on HTR.. dam i guess i should have went in to donate before i went up to 250mg..

i never thought i would run into this problem at such low doses, you guys ALL need to get in and donate...

Whats the best Way to reduce RBC?

thanks guys, now go in and donate:D

i read that being over Overhydration could give you a lower RBC...;)

i wonder if i could bring it down 1 percent this way .....

Have some bullion based or very salty soup, then do a dose or two of LBA's/Glycerol and then about 2 liters of water or more. That will bring you down about 4-5 points. If you have underlying heart problems, it can also push you into congestive heart failure - so use wisely.
Have/had some friends in the pro cycling peloton - their team doc's would have them do this before bed if they knew their # was up for testing.

Tons of water before the test drastically helps. Also if your on HRT your doc has write you a script to give blood if they are too high so maybe contact him.

your scaring me:eek:

your scaring me:eek:

Yeah, happens all the time. I try to stay away from places where there are lots of people. Like the mall, the grocery store, church...

i am thinking 2 liter of water, a few times to the bathroom to know for sure that i am hydrated should do the trick..

its only 1 dam point away, if anything i was slightly dehydrated today anyways...
"why did i even do my cardio today"... "idiot move on my part..lol"

the doc that has you on HRT can also order phlebotomy for medical necessity

i would keep your rbc right were they are , optimal for performance, no donating unless you really want to

i really don't think it's wise to do for a long period of time, and if i continue with the HRT they will always be on the high side of the scale...

just dont want them to get higher

Also if your multi vitamin has iron in it dont take it a few days before the test and try to avoid iron rich foods a day or two before the test.

The life of an RBC is 120 days, depleting iron from your diet for 1-2 days will not likely help very much. As far as the hydration bit, it is true that excessive hydration will have a dilutional effect, but only for a short time

This brings up a good question, what is a "safe" Hematocrit percentage? My doctor starts getting pretty upset with me when mine gets above 53. He says if I get dehydrated I could clot. I give blood every two months, but this doesn't help that much, my Hematocrit comes back even higher within the two months. On my last cycle, I had to have him drain 2 pints between donations because I was at 55%.

Many years ago I was on year round, never got tested, never gave blood, and never had issues. Did I just get lucky? Are most doctors overreacting?

My personal opinion is that overly high hematorcrit is the number one thing to worry about, am I being paranoid?

my doc told me two years ago after blood work.. that my blood volume was to high and he arranged me a appointment to donate blood to lower my red blood cell volume.. i never went ;) id rather have my pumps from the juice

High RBC count makes your blood thicker and harder for your heart to push, so bascially you are taxing it more and raise the odds of heart problems down the road. High iron levels will scar the walls of your arteries making it easier for choloesterol to stick to them. Another good reason to donate. Once you donate just go in every few months and donate again before you hit the cutoff. Every donation group has there own rules the next one may allow you to donate where you are right now.

Join 2 banks and donate once a month till you get your hematocrit where you want it. Usually when it drops to where you want it, you can then donate the allotted time and it should stay steady.

In my PM repsonse to you before you donated - I stated 2-3 very important things:

Take time off from training /cardio-at least 2 days (this skews the enzymes in the blood tested they pull when you are donating)

go in well hydrated.

stop all supplements 2-3 days before multivitamins vit E fish oils bromelain ginger root baby aspirin etc- all can effect clotting times.

Hydration is simple 10-15 mls glycerol and about 1 liter of water or until you piss clear.
I have hydrated 1 hour before a blood test at 9 am donated blood at 10 am.

Hematocrit as I have stated before is the single most dangerous aspect of juicing-I keep mine at 45 year round sometimes lower. I have written about this for YEARS and hope people will search and follow the advice.

Follow the same rules when getting blood drawn for evaluation to establish a baseline-otherwise again you levels will be all over the place and the doc diagnosing you with all kinds of shit cause you are dehydated and have torn down tons of tissue before the blood test. I established a baseline in 1998 and have followed the same protocol every time I get blood drawn which is about 6-9 times a year.

i took your advice bro, no disrespect.. i just never thought i would have a problem being on 250mg of test for only 3 weeks... none the less i took your advice and went in today...

Everything went as planned, my Hematocrit went down to 52 from 55...

I FEEL GREAT with one less PINT in ME..!!!
i will defiantly go back on a regular ...

thanks to everyone else for all for the help aswell..
