Got Prisribed accutane!

went to the derm and he said its still not clearing up yet, weel you wana do some accutane? i was like sure, he gave me 40 mg's a day for 5 months that which is equivlent to like 900$, hes a good man in my book, ill only pay a 10 $ co pay for the 180 script, was wondering if some of you guys think i could get by with less like 20mg a day and save some for another rainy day, and maybe only go like 2 and half months, how long have some of you guys seen the results lasting with accutane? if i just to the recomened dose, i should be acne free for say how long?

You need to do the protocal the doctore gives you. If it clears up then chances are you will not have it again. Its like not taking an antibiotic all the way through. The symptoms may be gone but the infection may occur again down the road.

How do I know, all my kids have done accutane. Cleared it up completely but its some harsh crap. Not something to mess around with.

do the 40. Im on 20, then bumped it to 25, and its been like 2+ months and i wish i had more, so i could up it to 40. It stopped new growth for the most part, but i still get like 1-2 new ones evry other week

back when I was in middle school, I had it prescribed to me for about 8-9 months (before they found out ppl were comitting suicide and shit). He told me i'd never get it again. he was right. You get the ocassional one here and there of course. Then at 21 hit my first cycle and my back was an acne farm (I believe mostly due to being ignorant). I didn't know about PCT until after my cycle. I haven't gotten it since on cycle using correct PCT although Adderall made my back break out!

You need to take the doctor prescribed amount. I'm not sure how severe your acne is because I've known guys with lesser cases having to take fuckin 80mgs a day for the first 60 days and then back down to 40mg.

If you are prone to bad acne as I am, 20mgs EOD (only while taking AAS) if you are taking things to promote oily skin, once you are finished with your first run will keep it at bay. I was against the use of it for a long time then had to use it and it cleared everything up. My bloods came back pretty normal but I was really making sure to drink plenty of water and I used Liv52 the whole time. You need to use a liver detoxifier while on it. Synthetek, which is a board sponsor, makes an excellent liver detox product as well. The only thing I didnt like dealing with was stiff joints. Once I added enough healthy fats and drank enough water, that went away.

Don't fuck around with this stuff. It can seriously be harmful if you are not using it correctly.

im getting liver tested every month, plan on doing a cycle this summer, if i take orals would that signal some liver probs and he would prob stop the dose, what if i only took injectibles, do they still messs with the liver, and if im starting this now, how will it effect my cycle in the summer if im taking it for 5 months from now

When i was perscribed accutane a long time ago liver value tests were protocal because of the liver toxicity and I was on deca and test. no probs. orals on the other hand i cannot comment on although seems more risky to me.

i would not take orals on accutane especially if you want to get scripts for it in the future.

This stuff is hardcore. I was prescribed 40mg 1st month, and 80mg for the next 4. Now 3 years later, I rarely get any acne, but I have permanent dry skin, need to moisturize my hands, lips, and face at least once a day. It changes your skin in a serious way. I feel I have worse face wrinkles now as well.

You ever heard of Retin-A (tretinoin)? It's an isomer of accutane (isotretinoin) in topical form.. Anyways you probably have, but ppl don't use it just for acne - it's also used by women to keep their skin looking young, and it's proven to lessen or delay wrinkles.. It basically dissolves the top layer of skin, and increases collagen production, so you always have fresh new skin..

I've been using it for a while now and even just after a few days I couldn't believe how smooth my face felt - it reminds me of how my face felt when I was a little kid, lol. Anyways for the shit you're describing, I don't think it'd hurt at all to use a low-strength version of it.. You'll definitely notice a difference.
