Guys I really need your help.

I have a pre employment physical immediately followed by a pre employment drug screen thursday, I am clean. I was thinking of taking Prinzide which is Hydrochlorothiazide and lisinopril 12.5 mg / 20 mg. It is a blood pressure med that works rather quickly. To lower my blood pressure a little. Because it is elevated a bit. Even with all the cardio I have been doing, and I do lots of it. High BP would be a no go. The selection process and background check alone took six months! Will it show up on the pre employment drug screen? Its a High State level job that requires a very healthy fit applicant. I have got the job pending the physical and the drug screen and would start next week. I would hate to screw this up. Thanks for your help and any suggestions!

They will be looking for narcotics most likely, not script meds like lisinipril-thats about 99% of drug tests unless its specific for some type of chemical.

Cialis would be another possibility... just make sure you don't flush bad off it as you may feel abit uncomfortable

IMO You're gravy bro. Unless they chrome dome your urine which is done once you test positive and a lab further evaluates for specific substance. As stated already, they're looking for narcotics. And that won't show up in the panel.

Drug tests like this are structured to catch the most often abused drugs. Unless you've been using recreational drugs, you have nothing to worry about. Testing for steroids is expensive and I know of no organizations that routinely test for hormones because of the expense. Testing for PEDs is usually done only after probably cause--not on a routine screen.

Hydrochlorothiazide is generally called HCTZ if that helps. Thanks alot for your input fellas, I put a lot into this just a little stressed about it. I am squeaky clean as far as any other substances.

The rule of thumb, in order to end these types of threads that pop up once every other week is "IF YOU HAVE A SCRIPT FOR IT THEN YOU CAN SHOW JUST CAUSE AS TO WHY IT'S IN YOUR SYSTEM (urine), IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SCRIPT FOR IT, THEN IT'S UP TO YOUR FUTURE EMPLOYER ON WHAT HE-SHE DECIDES SHOULD BE OR SHOULD NOT BE IN YOUR URINE TEST". It's a simple as that!
