if the half life of a drug is 5 hours, then at what time would the body have the most concentration of the drug?
2.5 hours or right at 5 hours?

Both onset of action and maximum concentration (Tmax) are independent of half-life. It's more a function of rate of absorption that can be effected by fillers, etc., and the overall pharmacokinetic profile of each individual compound.
